We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mary Saltzmann. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mary below.
Mary, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I started Blessed Catholic Mom to help and inspire moms who often feel stressed out and overwhelmed with the responsibilities of raising a family and desiring to have a closer relationship with God.
Is it possible to do both? Yes, it is. It may not always be easy, but we can raise a family and grow in faith. One day at a time, we can do this.
Mary, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a Catholic woman, wife, mother of five children ages 15-25, and researcher of ways to make life easier and bring more joy and peace into everyday life.
I have many blog posts on Blessed Catholic Mom filled with my experiences, practical ideas, faith-focused posts, and encouragement for other moms. I provide various free resources as well as prayer journals and books on the Mysteries of the Rosary. The Blessed Catholic Planner is one I created to help myself and others incorporate our faith more easily into our daily lives.
My twice-weekly newsletter includes encouragement and resources relevant to growing in faith and the part liturgical year we are in (Lent, Christmas, etc.).
I am pleased when I receive e-mails from readers telling me what I shared resonated with them was helpful, or was just what they needed to hear. It is amazing to be able to share our wonderful Catholic faith with others around the world and support each other in prayer.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a writer is hearing how my blog posts, books, and planners have made an impact on others. It is wonderful to hear that what I wrote or created helps others to grow in their faith or see things from faith perspective they did not have before.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with my readers and clients via e-mail and social media. E-mail is the best at helping to foster a more personal connection.
