Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mary Pascoe Conway. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Mary Pascoe, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My favorite part of creative arts is connecting with other people. My friend Ms. Kanisha Marie and I host a show Tuesdays at 4pm Pacific Time on TikTok LIVE where we sing, joke around, and chat with our viewers.
I am so blown away by the beautiful community the show has created. Our viewers have truly become our co-hosts (just like Wendy Williams always said).
The world can be a lonely place at times, but when people come together, we can truly raise one another’s spirits and make a big difference.
Being able to be there for our viewers really means a lot to me… and the way they support and encourage us is quite simply amazing.
Mary Pascoe, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I fell in love with performing at an early age. Music and acting opened up a whole new world for a shy kid from a small town like me.
Playing instruments and writing are exhilarating. I have released quite a bit of music through my own record label, Crabble Dabble Entertainment, and have more on the way.
I’ve been lucky enough to headline the main stage of The Viper Room, and to also perform musical stand-up comedy on the main stage of Flappers Comedy Club, and improv at the iO West Loft.
I’ve also had the pleasure of playing principal roles in the Oscar-nominated film “King Richard” with Will Smith, as well as “Mona Lisa Smile” starring Julia Roberts.
As a TikTok Signed Creator, I was invited to their studios to film a musical promo that garnered over 417 million views.
Thanks to my manager Sherri at Livewave Agency, TikTok even had me take over their official livestream once, and they have placed me in their “spotlights” quite a few times, for which I am very grateful.
My web series “Crabble Dabble Brad” allows me to play about a dozen different characters, including the title role of Brad himself. It’s super silly, has over half a million TikTok views, and I even wrote a pilot script for it in case I ever get to film it on a larger scale.
I currently study Music at LACC, Screenwriting with Michael Jamin, and Audiobook Narration with the ACX MasterClass. I am always eager to learn more!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to uplift people with my music, comedy, and acting. I have gone through lots of ups and downs during my life, and a huge part of getting through the downs is by listening to music and watching TV shows and movies.
I want to be there for people the way so many have been there for me.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
The best kept “secret” in the acting world is the SAG-AFTRA Conservatory.
As a member, I have been able to take so many amazing classes with truly incredible instructors.
Martin Sheen himself came in the teach my on-camera drama class, and I will never forget him saying he was “so taken” with my performance. His kind words mean the world to me.
Patricia Richardson from “Home Improvement” came in to teach my multi-cam comedy class, and she told me I am “ready for Primetime TV”!
I hope they know how much their encouragement means to us. It’s enough to keep you going when the going gets tough.
