We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mary Koval. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mary below.
Mary, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I’ve always loved photography. 11 years ago I had a fall and collapsed 2 discs in my neck resulting in neck fusion surgery. I was forced to rethink my options and life. There were so few pictures of my deceased mother I felt the desire to pursue photography. I dont want anyone to go through life with so little from deceased family members. It’s my life and passion.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Its a great life. My passion has led me to step out of the box and create beautiful ideas and those amazing pictures for people. I invest in my craft and work hard to deliver meaningful experiences to so many wonderful folks.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My belief:
meraki [may-rah-kee] (adjective) is doing something with soul, creativity, or love — when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
It’s getting to know so many wonderful people. Normally I’m an introvert but when I am out there with folks I’m so engaged and bubbly doing what I love!
