We were lucky to catch up with Mary Danessa recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mary, thanks for joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?

I came up with the idea of being a content creator because of the pandemic. I was an essential worker and just decided to put myself out there.

Hello my name is Mary and I work a full time job that I balance with being a Plus-size content creator. I want to highlight body inclusivity and that Plus-size people can be happy and follow their dreams doing what they love. I also want us to get the same opportunities as others too.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I built my audience but literally being myself. I’m funny, intelligent, love to travel, beauty, and food. Being yourself will always make a connection with others.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

I would love to pay off my student loans and eventually own my own house.
