Don’t Let Anyone Tell You You’re Not Right for Your Dream….

A young girl from a small town in CT was told she was not cut out for the retail world. She was told to think twice about this industry because this woman didn’t feel she had thick enough skin to succeed in the fashion world. The young girl was taken back at that moment, but also knew she was going to prove her wrong. She did!!!! ( it was me)

After my start in the fashion world – I made sure to be a role model for everyone I was surrounded by but more importantly to cheer on the underdog who may have needed that little push. To share with them – it’s all right if someone thinks you’re not good at something, as long as you don’t let that stop you from doing what you love. That doesn’t mean that every criticism has a silver lining; this is where being your own fierce advocate comes in handy. This led me to being a mentor for many years in my career for schools like FIT and Johnson & Wales College – a very rewarding experience, and I served as a reminder for them to keep pursuing their dreams and learn from their experiences & never give up.

Looking back (as opposed to saying the older I get, lol) – I realized that many of the negative people I came into contact with believed their actions came from their insecurities. That is why I am so passionate about Daisy-Bella – my mission helping all women no matter how old they are to feel their best & to never give up!!😊

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Daisy-Bella is a woman-owned lifestyle clothing brand that combines fashion and woman empowerment. Our mission is to help women realize their inner strength and beauty with free-spirited styles that inspire confidence. Daisy-Bella hopes to imprint the belief in you, that who you are is your superpower. Our boho styles serve ageless, healthy, and beautiful women. Daisy-Bella believes this is every woman and aspires to instill the same belief in you.

I started Daisy-Bella because I have always wanted to be a part of the change that helps women understand and know they are enough. I believe one person can make a difference in the world and for me, starting Daisy-Bella felt right.

Through Daisy-Bella I could support and inspire women in all phases of life. I feel that the most special thing about being a part of Daisy-Bella is seeing the opportunity to be the change, and then being able to do something about it. Daisy-Bella may be a small company, but we’ve found a way to make a difference in the lives of women and girls everywhere by partnering with organizations that take action and provide support for those who have none. My dream one day is to have a Daisy-Bella foundation that will aid in education and therapy and have a self-help center. Being a part of the positive shift in someone’s life is a special feeling.

Daisy-Bella is a business with a heart to do good. It’s a compassionate brand run by a woman who hopes to inspire other women to believe in themselves through inspiring design on apparel and pays it forward to women less fortunate. A portion of every purchase at Daisy-Bella is donated to women in need through different charities and women homes. Also have participated in sending girls to summer camp. Daisy-Bella is all about women supporting women supporting women. We are all one.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

I produce most of my products. My background is an – retailer / manufacturer of women’s apparel for many years – more than i want to say …lol. Starting Daisy-Bella was a big learning curve because I moved from buying & producing thousands of units – working with some of the large retailers & manufacturers to becoming a very small company. In the beginning, I sought out companies that were able to meet the highest standards that I was accustomed to. However, the drawback for them was that I wasn’t someone who would place large orders. That was challenging for sure – frustrating some days, but the determination was always there. I had to keep reminding myself I could do this because I believed so much in what I was doing through Daisy-Bella.

It is funny how life can be full circle — at the beginning of my career someone said I wasn’t tough enough for the fashion industry & now later on in my life, I am challenging myself in a world of technology which is not my strong suit, but I will overcome.
