Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marvion Coby. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Marvion thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
Yes, as a photographer I feel like it’s fairly easy to get a vacation. The way I take vacation is I tend to book photoshoots in different states, which is a cheat code for me. So every time I go out of town, I find a way to work and mixed with pleasure! Doing photography the advice I would give to a fellow entrepreneur is to be patient you have to go through busy times to get in the position to get that free time !
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
So for those who don’t know me, I am Marvion Coby from a small town in West Tennessee called Bolivar! I graduated from Tennessee State University and I have been in Nashville Tennessee ever since. I have always had a passion for photography, but never had the funds to actually invest in a professional camera so my phone used to be my best friend and I always was the friend that took the other friends pictures! So, as I got older and did more research, I bought my first camera, which was a Canon T7.
So I am a freelance photographer, I pretty much am in every lane of photography that you could possibly think of so I provide a wide range of services like portrait, event, celebrity, head shots, and etc.. The way I solve problems for my clients is being affordable and willing to work with budgets. That could be well under the price I’m worth!
The most proud thing about being a photographer and I want future clients, fans, and followers to know is that I love capturing the moments of life, it could be iconic, accidental, fun, love or etc.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of getting new clients for me is from mouth to mouth conversation and social media showing off my work from previous sections!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I don’t treat my business as a business being all formal! I treat it as a transaction between family! I’m trying to build that relationship to make my clients and foster brands comfortable with me as if I was part of their brand team or a member and their family! So I check in, I see if they have upcoming events or gatherings! Also, I take enough photos where if I was to make a post I am mentioning Within that post to remind them of the good time we had during the section!
