We recently connected with Martin Kier and have shared our conversation below.
Martin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you share a customer success story with us?
We have worked with a golf accessories and apparel company named Pins & Aces since 2019. Originally, they were selling headcovers only. For reference, these are similar to “socks” that you put over a golf club for protection. When we first started chatting, they were doing a few thousand a month in sales, which as an eCommerce store, that’s still respectable.
Over time, they started releasing a couple of new products such as ball markers, polos, stamps, and other fun accessories. This made their brand way more diverse and attractive to their customers, so we saw a small bump in their annual revenue because of this. They also brought on a full time photographer and videographer which made the ads we created even more effective.
One day, they released the “Beer Sleeve” which was basically a big insulated straw that could hold up to 7 beers. The construction of this product allowed it to be placed into a golf bag so you could sneak beers into any golf course. This rebellious product and the digital marketing strategy we launched allowed Pins & Aces to skyrocket their revenue and reach way more golfers. We had ads that were performing in the 3-4 ROAS range at high volume. Since they decided to invest in content creation as an eCommerce brand and our digital marketing strategies resonated well with their target audience, we managed to scale them from a few thousand a month in 2019 to now being a multi-million dollar company. I’m very thankful to be part of that rise in revenue and to help them succeed, all while learning along the way.
Martin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I own a company named Brand Buddy and we primarily serve the Colorado area. We help a wide range of businesses such as startups, mid size, and companies that have been around for a century or more. We are not industry-specific either.
The services we provide are SEO, Google Ads, Social Media Ads, Web Design, Social Media Posts, SMS Marketing, and email marketing. We pride ourselves on our quick communication, ability to implement ideas quickly, and our expertise from helping close to 150 businesses at this point.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Having a variety of success stories, but we also focused more on in person marketing. We noticed that we were able to generate way higher quality leads through in person networking events and did a great job of building trust face to face.
Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?
This is coming soon! I am planning to launch an online course this Summer that teaches entrepreneurship minded people to build and run a digital marketing agency. This is something I have been thinking about for the last 2 years, so I am curious to see if it will hook or not. Plus, I really enjoy speaking with others about business ideas, so we’ll see how this goes.
