Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that I needed to handle everything on my own to ensure it was done right. The backstory behind this lesson goes back to the early days of founding IdealBiz Solutions. As a driven entrepreneur and a perfectionist, I initially took on every task myself—from client meetings to website design, marketing strategies, and even administrative duties. I believed that my personal involvement in every detail was essential to maintain quality and control.

However, this approach soon became unsustainable as the business grew. I found myself overwhelmed and unable to scale effectively. It was a pivotal moment when I realized that my insistence on micromanaging was not only hindering the company’s growth but also exhausting me personally.

To shift this mindset, I began it to sit in prayer and worship and allowed God to direct the next steps in my business. I began delegating responsibilities to capable team members and trusted partners. This transition wasn’t easy; it required letting go of my fear of relinquishing control and trusting others to uphold our standards.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Being Obedient to what God called me to do and allow him to flow through me always. Obedience is key!! That is the only answer!
