We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marthe Vangman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marthe below.
Alright, Marthe thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
In may 2022, I managed all the talent and played an important role in producing a campaign called “Raise your Flag: Pride Eve”. The reason for this campaign was to shine a light on the issues and discrimination that people within the LGBTQ+ community is facing everyday in our societies. In 2022, there are over 240 anti-LGBTQ+ pieces of legislation across the country, and our mission with our campaign was to send a visible message to the country and policy makers and donate as much money as we could to GLAAD, The Trevor Project and Project Contrast via Pride Flag sales.
We partnered with over 150 LGBTQ+ creators and asked them to authentically tell their stories, and talk about why and how their fans should show their pride this year in order to support the cause. We sold a variety of 20 different Pride Flags, and 100% of profits was given to charity. Through this campaign, we reached millions of people and recently won a Shorty Impacts Award in the category of best Live Streaming!
At the end of the campaign on May 31st, we hosted an VIP event called Pride Eve. The idea with the event was to create a kickoff moment in time to the month of June, which is known as Pride Month. The guest-list consisted of creators and celebrities within the LGBTQ+ community, and over 600 people showed up to walk the purple carpet which represents Pride. I was in charge of managing and inviting all creators and celebrities, and by midnight we could all stand together and count down and celebrate together.

Marthe, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to work in the entertainment industry and creatively be a part of the world of Hollywood. I’ve always loved storytelling, and working with other creative people such as influencers, entrepreneurs and musicians. I love building brands and developing content with talent that have the power to inspire and impact other people in a positive way. The entertainment business is filled with creative masterminds, and to be successful within that industry has been a goal of mine since a very young age.
I knew that in order to get my foot in the door, I had to create something that would be of value for others. My friend Michael Williams had founded, and was at the time running a company called Studiotime (the largest online marketplace community to rent music studios.) He was looking for creative ways to build community around the brand, so we decided we would create intimate music events that would take place in music studios, called “Studiotime Sessions”. We invited people from the music industry and the entertainment industry, and it became a place where people could come and connect, and listen to up and coming artists. I was running all the events, and managed all the Artist Relations for the show, and managed to create a whole network of people from the industry that I still today cherish. Being able to offer people something has been the most valuable lesson for me, even when its as simple as inviting people to events or connecting them with someone in my network. It opens up to a conversation, and more opportunities. This was also where I learned how to manage talent and everything around them, and how to creatively develop projects around a person that has a voice in the creative industry.
Today I’m still in the entertainment industry, and the opportunities I’ve been given all stems from the fact that we created a unique music concept and got introduced to experts in the field. I’ve been working with top talent such as Cheat Codes, Julia Sundstrom, Deadmau5, Blink-182, Julian Lamadrid, Final Child, Bryce Vine, and influencers such as Emma Norton, BWA Jack, Raven Symone, Dexter Mayfield, Carson Kressley, Brooklynne Webb and many more. I’m now running talent projects at Invisible Narratives, an entertainment company by Adam Goodman and Michael Bay where we focus on developing tomorrow’s franchises with top talent from the creator economy. I source, onboard, and project manage everything that comes to the influencers and creators we partner with in order to develop long-lasting IP. I’m extremely proud of the projects I’ve been launching with our creators this far, and its such a creatively awarding to see the projects I’ve been working so hard on developing come to fruition. My mission as a talent manager and content developer is to help creators expand their audience, and their career by building out content, assets, events and IP.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I believe NFT’s are great for creatives! There’s so much you can make into an NFT, and it’s a way for creatives to own their own IP in a digital asset. Musicians are able to own their music and take 100% of the revenue, instead of giving it away to big streaming platforms that take a big cut. NFT’s are a way for creatives to control their properties, and be in charge of the way they distribute their properties. NFT’s are also especially good when it comes to ticketing since its a more secure way of dealing with ticket sales for concerts. Instead of dealing with middle men and people making money out of the artist ticket sales, the artist will be able to receive most of that revenue themselves.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission with my creative journey is to inspire others to develop content with a meaningful message and that will make people happy. This was the whole reason for me getting into the entertainment business from the beginning, since you get to work on impactful projects, and with people that are super creative. We all want to create joy and impact other people in the world, and that’s why creative people gets so passionate about the projects we work on.
I also want to develop content that you can build out brands around. In today’s societies we are constantly fed with fast content each day, but it’s the ones that manage to create a repeatable format or a story that people can relate to that will catch the audience real attention. I want to help creators understand how they build trust with their audience, and have a positive impact on their followers.
