Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Martha Good. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Martha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry
Needless to say, Covid changed many norms in the travel industry. Currently, the industry is seeing stronger demand than ever for international travel. After not traveling for the last two years, people are eager to explore the world once again. As restrictions ease and mask mandates subside, we will continue to see high levels of demand for the foreseeable future. What does that mean if you are planning on traveling in the next year? Start the planning process early to secure the best pricing and availability. Practice patience as hoteliers and tour operators re-staff and get back into the swing of things.
Martha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started Martha Good Luxury Travel in 2016, specializing in creating luxurious memorable trips around the world for discerning clients. The primary goal of the business has always been to make travel planning easy and enjoyable, saving clients time and stress during the planning process while curating incredible experiences around the globe.
Growing a business is not easy, especially considering two years of the pandemic. I am so proud of my team and the growth we have experienced even through Covid. We have amazing clients who are a pleasure to work with, making the day-to-day enjoyable and exciting. My favorite moments happen during the post-trip call with the client, when they are on cloud 9 from the trip and excited to start dreaming of the next experience.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Our growth is almost entirely reliant on word-of-mouth. So many new clients stem from referrals from existing clients. The current clients know the caliber of our service and what we deliver. When a current client is happy, they are naturally inclined to spread the word. I always ask for a referral to others who they think would appreciate the service.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Focusing on the luxury market and not straying from that focus. This means that not everyone will want your service, not everyone is your client.
