We were lucky to catch up with Martelle Graham recently and have shared our conversation below.
Martelle, appreciate you joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
Reflecting on My Journey: Taking the Leap of Faith When I think back on my journey, I can’t help but ponder what could have been if I’d taken that leap of faith and started my business earlier. The progress I might have made! However, I must be truthful with myself; I was still inexperienced after graduation, so maybe it all happened at the right time.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My Journey to Becoming an Artist: A Story of Discovery and Connection Growing up, I had a variety of career aspirations – from working with animals to pursuing a career in medicine. I never thought of myself as a creative person, until the idea of making art came to me as I got older. I discovered my talent for doodling at a young age and paid close attention to details. I used art as an outlet to escape the noise around me. As I grew older, my passion for art grew stronger, and I began sharing my craft with the world. Through my work, I became the light for other creatives who look like me. I create a welcoming space where everyone can experience creative freedom and good vibes. I believe that art has the power to bring people together and allow them to express themselves without fear of judgment.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Establishing Social Media Presence: My Personal Experience
I appreciate this question since I’m presently working on building my own social media presence. Although it’s still in the early stages, I’m excited to share that my plan will soon be in full effect. My biggest advice for those in a similar situation is to stay focused on your own progress and not compare yourself to others. The secret to achieving anything in life is to remain disciplined and consistent.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The Joy of Being a Creator: Leaving a Lasting Legacy
As a creative, the most fulfilling part of my journey is the impact I leave behind. It’s the legacy I build that will serve as an example to my children and future generations. For me, it’s not about the money. Expressing my emotions on canvas and sharing it with the world is a beautiful experience. The support I receive and the ability to connect with others who relate is truly priceless.
