We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marstevion Austin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marstevion below.
Marstevion, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I think the most meaningful project I’ve created would have to be my short story Bring Me Joy. That story set the tone and crafted my writing style. I learned to take everyday minorities and throw them into these fantasy worlds and over the top situations that a lot of people can relate to.

Marstevion, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well dancing was my gateway into the entertainment industry. Overtime I started aiming towards movies and screenplay writing. I started off writing shorts for social media, and the responses were doperific. My stories talk about the challenges minorities deal with on a day to day , but in a fantasy world. Similar to Jordan Pelle, but darker, gritty, and mentally stimulating . Nobody is writing or coming up with these type of movies. What I have here is revolutionary. This is the evolution of black cinema. I can guarantee that anything from me will slap everytime.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Yes most definitely. The Alchemist is a book I recommend every artist to read.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, I want to bring a new way of story telling to the black community.
