We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Marsha Evariste a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Marsha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you manage your own social media?
I manage all @dolledbydior.co social media. I haven’t hired someone or a team/company to manage it. It allows me to have full control of my business. I only put out content and product(s) that I 100% approve on. I love the results I have gotten. I have had the help of my ambassadors to help me promote my brand and I highly recommend business owners doing the same.

Marsha , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
DOLLEDBYDIOR started off as a way to keep my self busy before starting college. I graduated AIT for the US Army in December and started school in May so with 5 months in between I decided to start a business. I love wigs and installs so it felt super natural. 8 months into the game I officially got my LLC and can say I have no regrets and absolutely love my business. I mainly sell wigs and bundles. But I also have lipgloss, hair oils, satin reversible bonnets and lace bands. My content sets me apart from others. It speaks for itself but DOLLEDBYDIOR.CO is very consistent with original and unique content. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come, the following and support I’ve gained in such a short time. I would like my potential clients to simply know shopping with me is shopping with the best!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My audience on social media was built off of my content. Yes my wigs and bundles have great quality. Yes my prices are great. But I also know that content is very key. I’ve had photoshoots after photoshoots. Very key to drawing in the right audience. Realistically people are drawn to stuff that looks pretty and my ambassadors and units always look the best!

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
“Funding” my business was more so me investing in to myself. I didn’t sign up for a business credit or loan right away. I was very new to the game so I had no clue how to start besides using my own money to invest into my vision.
