Hi Mars, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

I aspire to inspire. Each day we are given a blank canvas to create the life we want and enjoy. We were made to create! I truly believe life is art, and my favorite form of expression is through clothing. The best way for me to showcase this art is through video, photographs, and styling others. Your style introduces you before you speak. BE UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOU! At the end of the day I can live with the results knowing I’m happy, and did things my way with no regrets.

Mars, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Marcus Williams Jr., but known to the world as Mars! I joined the fashion industry and creative community in 2020 when I realized the influence I was gaining within my peers. I create content for fashion businesses as well as cosmetics. I’ve also began styling and creating look books for those who enjoy fashion, but hasn’t quite found their lane or style. What sets me apart from others is, my work is still very much organic and genuine. I’m still humbled that the community has accepted me and people enjoy what I create and my services. I’m most proud of the fact that I started from ground zero, with little to no help or guidance. I want people to know, not to be afraid to start. As long as you love what you do and you’re passionate about something, pursue it with everything in you and you’ll be successful. I wouldn’t be where I’m at without my supporters, and positive affirmations I receive with each post. It makes all the hard work and days of having zero likes, more rewarding. This is just the beginning and it’s only going to go up from here! I’m forever grateful for my blessings and thankful for my lessons, It’s only made me a better creator, and personable partner.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

In my creative journey, my greatest goal is to be 100 percent authentically me and original. In the creative space, it is easy to become caught up in what everyone around me is doing. I’m not saying I don’t want to be influenced or inspired by others. I just want to stay true to who I am, and be the voice that I’m meant to be. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. It’s not considered the city where dreams come true, nor is it Hollywood, or like the fashionable streets of New York City. Corpus is my home, and I want to put the city on the map when it comes to fashion, creativity, art, and being in the birthplace of many talented individuals.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of creating is, seeing my wake go from a thought in my head to reality. Then having people appreciate my work. Whether it’s 1 person on 1 million people, it’s always great to know that something in my head, that I created, holds value. I want to be a vessel to many and show that it’s possible to make something of yourself if you just start. I would love for more opportunities to be presented where I come from, and relieve the pressure from everyone feeling like they have to be in the greater sized cities to make their dreams a reality. Dreams without goals, are only dreams. Faith without works, is dead. Believe in yourself and go after everything God instilled in your imagination. It was put there for a reason. We were made to create, whether it’s a life, vision, capture a moment, or be the moment. Find your purpose and fulfill it.
