We were lucky to catch up with Marquitah Snowball recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Marquitah, thanks for joining us today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
Greetings,
My Name is Marquitah Snowball, Also known as Snow or The Celestial Goddexx Snow, within respected communities. I am a Professional Celestial with a niche in mental health and wellness.. It warms me to say I am currently at the stage of my career where I have been able to grow my own alternative & holistic health and wellness brand called “Let Me Say It For You”. LMSIFY is the vibe source for the alternative creative and the home of my mindfulness focused practice “P.a.u.s.e” (A practice where Patience and Accountability Unites the Self with its Experience). Early on in my career I took a vow to not just agree to live life more intentionally, but to aid the many other lights working on strengthening the human back into humanity. From very young I was able to understand we live in not just a harsh world, but a confusing one. I left grade school with a latch onto the inner urge to discover the answer to one main focus point growing in my mind. How on earth do people end up doing and saying the mind-scrambling, unspeakable, heartbreaking things they do? Young Snow quickly started to learn, Thankful to life, and educational experiences taken through Iona College’s accredited masters program for marriage and family therapy, the answers are embedded deep within the blueprint of confusion, frustration, violation, and honesty we are all speaking in alternative ways. Communication is what many will learn is one of the loudest silent killers on this planet and it is verbal and non.

Marquitah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
In 2016, I started my journey as an ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) Therapist for an organization named C.A.R.D (Center for Autism and Related Disorders. Here I was able to reach many milestones like become a trainer for oncoming therapist, gaining a position as family support specialist, assisting other supportive mental health professionals with behavior intervention plans, and service a community I would learn more from than I could ever thank them for. I was able to take away two main messages, “stop, Breathe, think” and how important patience is when it comes to understanding communication styles, let alone life. It’s a major key to unlocking understand and finding community.
In 2020, I started my journey as a Functional Family Therapist for an organization named Children’s Village until 2022 when I decided to take time to focus on my own practice and take intentional time to rediscover my own self after the focus being to solely help others for many years. While working within Children’s Village, I was able to strengthen my understanding of relationships and how to balance life while growing a relationship with family, your community, and yourself. The main message impacting my journey here was the fact that it doesn’t matter how much time we can spend talking on a matter, there will be a time to implement change and finding a theme for your journey of difference can also be a major key.
2020 was an impactful year for us all. We, as people, were forced to flow with the well known wave that brought light to much difference, confusion and hardship, Covid-19. With the rise of confusion being one of the themes of life, “Let Me Say It For You” was ready to embark on its mission and help find homeostasis within this new way of life we still are working through the effects of today. LMSIFY started as a virtual safe space to help people cope with the ebb and flow of that familiar feeling “Life is Life-ing”. From here we stepped deeper within the mental health and wellness industry while actively branching out into the creative arts, Fashion, Modeling, and LifeStyle industry. Basically, if it has to do with strengthening community, creativity, expression or healing I am there. Within these realms I am able to provide trauma focused education, guidance, services, and tangible coping merchandise we call “Life Tokens”. The focus issue we target is finding a way to help a person alleviate the confusion that leads them to feel unbalanced and disconnected to a life they want to actually be a part of, providing alternative ways for people to express and release their emotions, and teaching others how to find their center ignorer to boost autonomy, self worth and overall trust no matter the paths of life one may come from and most importantly diagnosed or not.
Here at LMSIFY, no matter if it is an alternative mindfulness workshop, A DIY (Do It Yourself) tutorials on nervous system alleviation techniques or how to strengthen your own brand, a work-life/business-life balance informational, body confidence strengthening, community life discussions, how to connect deeper within community, life transitions, emotional or trauma informed creative releases, Somatic healing sessions, or you want to get to know yourself, meet other like minded individuals from diverse communities and walks of life, or simply just want to get a custom topography styled tee. Let’s P.A.U.S.E!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to learn was the genuine understanding of what it means to believe in yourself and your dreams. Sometimes, we as humans can get into a space of looking for validation for what ever reason and most of the time you end up getting projections that just delay your work from being complete or idea to never come to life. Listen to yourself the first time, you know exactly what you like and how to align yourself to it. The people that connect with what you produce along the way will gravitate towards your creations organically. Being unapologetically Y.o.u is key, everything else is a sacred bonus.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Being sourced in the lands of mental health and wellness, I would say while on the journey to success, and this could be for any field if you ask Snow, it is important to be able to put the expert hat down, pause, and take a moment to experience what you are working on right within your everyday life. Organic life, the life you can find right outside your door step can give you all the inspiration and answers you need to continue and block any stagnant energy. Honor the times your spirit is calling for a break and journal till you have something next you know you want to do. Do it scared, do it depressed, do it happy, do it when it feels you should or shouldn’t. All of this makes the road to success clear until the point you relish you were always on it.
