We recently connected with Marquissa R. Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Marquissa R. thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Naming a business is never easy, and for me it was a process that required both patience and purpose. When my business coach first asked what I would call my company, I honestly had no idea. I knew that the name had to be more than just catchy — it needed to be meaningful, sustainable, and able to carry the vision forward for years to come.
Through a series of brainstorming and mind-mapping sessions, I wrote down the words that captured the heart of my mission: teaching, development, forward motion, structure, leadership, and success. In that process, I had an “aha” moment. I realized that my calling was to elevate the lives of leaders — to train, equip, and strengthen them while also helping organizations build structure and processes that support growth.
That clarity led me to the name Elevate Leadership Enterprises.
• Elevate speaks to raising leaders to the next level.
• Leadership defines my audience and focus: guiding, influencing, and inspiring people toward vision.
• Enterprises represent the scale of what I knew the business would one day encompass — a growing, multifaceted organization with a lasting impact.
Now, years later, the name has proven true. What started as a vision has expanded into leadership training, team building, public speaking, organizational consulting, and conferences. The name reflects not only what I do but also who I serve and the future of where we are headed.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve always been passionate about teamwork, growth, and helping others thrive. My professional journey began in corporate America, where I spent 26 years progressing from a frontline customer service agent to a Director, then to Business Program and Project Manager. These roles taught me the value of team synergy, process improvement, and strategic planning. Along the way, I developed a deep appreciation for how strong leadership and efficient systems can transform both people and organizations.
At the same time, I was deeply involved in ministry and the faith-based community. I began to see how the tools and training from the corporate world could powerfully impact churches and nonprofit organizations. That’s when the vision for Elevate Leadership Enterprises LLC was born.
At Elevate, we merge strategic insight with heart-centered consulting to empower leaders—especially in churches and community organizations—to lead with clarity, structure, and purpose. We specialize in:
• Leadership development and training
• Strategic planning
• Organizational design and team building
Our goal is to solve real challenges like lack of clarity, inconsistent execution, or organizational misalignment. Whether working with senior pastors or business owners, we help transform vision into action—and action into lasting impact.
What sets us apart is our partnership mindset. We don’t just consult and leave; we walk alongside our clients, offering guidance, support, and tailored solutions that remain effective long after our engagement ends.
Our mission is simple:
To inspire, motivate, and equip leaders in faith-based communities and the marketplace by providing strategic solutions that drive sustainable success.
Our vision is to be the catalyst through which every leader and organization we serve makes a lasting, positive impact in their sphere of influence.
Our motto: Creating the Blueprint for Leadership Success.
What makes me most proud is knowing that our work helps leaders and their organizations thrive. When our clients win, we win. Potential clients should know they’re not just hiring a consultant—they’re gaining a collaborative partner who genuinely cares about their vision, their people, and their purpose. We’re here to guide, not dictate. Our goal is to help you discover the best version of your leadership and organization.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Fostering brand loyalty begins with intentional, consistent communication and creating meaningful touchpoints with clients. At Elevate Leadership Enterprises, I make a dedicated effort to stay connected through multiple channels that inform, inspire, and engage.
I maintain accurate client records to support regular outreach and updates. Email remains one of my primary tools, allowing me to share valuable resources such as leadership insights, strategic tools, upcoming events, and networking opportunities. Additionally, I host complimentary webinars throughout the year that offer practical insight, motivation, and continued learning.
Equally important is the community we foster through social media. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn allow me to connect with clients in real-time, share behind-the-scenes moments, provide leadership tips, and celebrate client wins. Social media has become an extension of my brand, providing both visibility and accessibility while reinforcing trust and engagement.
At the heart of our brand is a commitment to fostering authentic relationships. When clients see that we are genuinely invested in their success—not just as a service provider but as a trusted partner it builds loyalty that extends far beyond a single project. Through a combination of consistent communication, community-building, and strategic content, we create relationships that last for years to come.

Any advice for managing a team?
Managing a team and maintaining high morale can be challenging for many leaders—especially when time is limited. One of the most effective ways to build trust and connection is by being intentional about relationships. I strongly believe in scheduling one-on-one meetings with direct reports to build rapport, reinforce accountability, and learn more about who they are beyond the workplace.
Taking time to hear your team’s aspirations and goals gives insight into what drives them, and that understanding can positively shape how leaders engage and motivate. When leaders tap into each team member’s strengths and what makes them feel valued, they foster a culture of appreciation and purpose.
This sense of belonging leads to increased morale, stronger performance, and a greater willingness to collaborate—making even the hardest tasks more manageable. Motivated teams are built on trust, communication, and a shared sense of contribution, all of which are vital for long-term success.
