We were lucky to catch up with Marquis Stewart recently and have shared our conversation below.

Marquis , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

The biggest risk I have taken was last year of 2022. I was already battling myself and went ahead to take the risk to cut the people of of my life that were no longer for me and it lead to me becoming homeless and having to stay with family. Although this risk lead to that it also lead to my biggest breakthrough ever for the stardom of my entertainment career. I was apart of and casted on “The Prank Panel” on ABC and streaming on Hulu premiering this Summer 2023, as well as casted on “I Can See your Voice” Season 3 winning some life changing money. I just feel when you have Great Faith and trust in GOD as well as having a good support system which is my Queen, Pops & Family it goes a long way. There was so much that would have broke the camels back dealing with my situations, I will just say in most times in life With The Greater Risk & Faith comes the greater Success and Rewards that’s bigger than could ever imagined. Marquis , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am 27 born and Raised in St.Louis MO. My Queen name is Melissa Stewart and my pops Keith Stewart Sr. Every since a kid my parents and family can tell you right off the bag I was gifted and talented. I was always a character that stood out for sure. As I got older around 10 or 11, “That’s So Raven” premiered on Disney Channel and since I was mesmerized by the Show with Raven Symone and how captivating she was with Acting. I started doing Drama club and Musical Theatre which just really took off and began my Journey with Acting. I remember my family and other public people coming to the performances and really enjoyed the shows as well as shocked how powerful I was in my element, I played the part and became who most know me not to be and that’s when you know your are Gifted and have the passion to support your dreams in life. In 2014 I graduated and went on to a Private Performing Arts School AMDA Hollywood (American Musical Dramatic Arts Academy) that I auditioned for and got in on the first try, what was also unbelievable was that I was the only one from St.Louis that got selected from the auditions. Ever since to date I have been thriving and even with some lessons and reroutes I have been able to just allow GOD to do the rest of what comes when always doing and giving my best.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My particular goal is to Change the world for the better. From being physically, emotionally, and verbally Bullied, Molested twice at age 7 & 11 , Suicidal attempt at age of 15 and severe anxiety at 16, I took from it all to turn it into a positive and become buffers and better than what I gone through because I knew it’s not who I wanted to be. In 2019 at the age of 23 I came up with a non profit organization which was “Living Greatness By Alexander” that would be in place to help the less fortunate, troubled kids and teens empowering them directing them and giving them hope to a better future making positivity their reality.

How did you build your audience on social media?

With the Fan base and following I have all started from when I started doing ads for “Vimeo” and “Vimeo Create”. People gravitated towards me with my personality and background from things I posted. I always try to create a positive light and environment whether it’s in person or on social media. I would say my advice is to always be authentic and true to who you are because with that you will always win over the hearts of true fans and supporters who can relate. There isn’t anything relatable to something or someone fake.
