Marquis Revlon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I been dancing since At a very young age.My mom said I came out dancing. I learned from going to after school programs and youth centers growing up. And I believe the best thing is to trust your own process. The only competition is self so getting out of your own way and stay consistent is key

I’m Icon Marquis a Baltimore based professional dancer , model, choreographer and public figure in the lgbtq community at large. Im also a international vogue instructor. I have been featured on many media platforms like the Baltimore sun. City paper. Bmore arts, paper, New York Times, the New York inquiring, B.E.T and feature in Paris. I traveled to countries like Paris , Russia,Korea,Finland,London, Brittany,Germany just to name a few. All over in the United States. I was also featured on the show Pose . Dark city beneath the beat on Netflix.


What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I believe in more resources. More spaces artist can go to be creative and a place in the inner city to call home a safe space
: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes to one day own my own dance studio
