We were lucky to catch up with Marquetta DeVille recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Marquetta thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We love asking folks what they would do differently if they were starting today – how they would speed up the process, etc. We’d love to hear how you would set everything up if you were to start from step 1 today
If I were to start my business over, I would make sure to capitalize on the programs and support offered for new businesses. After being in business for seven years full-time I am just now really learning on business credit, Business start up incentives As my husband and I have carried our business and expanded our business from our own pocket up until this point.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Marquetta DeVille is an award-winning entrepreneur, wealth mindset coach, author, and chief financial officer of DeVille Realty Group, LLC., the largest black owned Real Estate company in the state of Nevada. Most recently she was honored as a Woman to Watch in the Women Doing It Big Magazine and has received a plethora of awards in entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment.
What sets my company DeVille Realty Group apart for so many others, we are the community Real Estate Company. Many have Bought Homes because we educate, inspire and Provide resources to many who would have otherwise not purchased homes.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The reputation in the community came from consistency. In 2020 there was minimal face to face interactions, yet we sold more homes than ever before. So many looked at the pandemic as “what if” and operated it out of fear. I look at the pandemic as what if I don’t and operated as if the community still needed my services. I was able to continue to grow as a realtor, write and release my first book, startup a Wealth Building brunch series, and speak on various platforms educating many on creating generational Wealth Through Equity.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
1. Treat your business as if you work for corporate America. What I mean by this is make sure you are following up with your clients, providing a customized experience, when one contract closes remember that client is your Word of mouth loyal brand champion that will send you your next client.
2. Market smart
3. Stay one step ahead of your clients and know what’s happening in your industry.
