Conception of the Idea: It all began during a brainstorming session within the VASA Gym team. Recognizing the unique needs of postpartum moms and the growing demand for specialized fitness programs, the idea took root. The goal was not just to offer a gym membership but to create a supportive community and tailored fitness experience for postpartum mothers.
Initial Planning:
The next step involved thorough market research. We wanted to understand the demographics, needs, and preferences of postpartum moms in the Denver Metro area. We reached out to healthcare professionals, conducted surveys, and engaged in conversations with potential members to ensure our program addressed their specific challenges and aspirations.
Designing the Program:
With insights gathered, our team collaborated with fitness experts and certified trainers to design a comprehensive 12-year program. We outlined tailored workout routines, established support systems, and devised strategies for creating a strong community within the gym.
Financial Feasibility:
Simultaneously, we will; once the program is launched in 2024;conduct a financial analysis to ensure the program’s viability. This involved projecting membership sign-ups, estimating revenue streams from Kids Care services and group training, and determining the pricing structure that would be both attractive to our target audience and sustainable for the business.
Certified Trainer Recruitment:
Recognizing the importance of expertise, we seek to actively recruit certified trainers specializing in postpartum fitness and group training. This step ensured the quality and effectiveness of our program.
Marketing Campaign Launch:
We project to launch early 2024 with a targeted marketing campaign to create awareness. Utilizing social media, local partnerships, and community events, we aimed to reach postpartum moms directly and showcase the unique benefits of our program.
Membership Drive:
Simultaneously, our future membership drive will be initiated, offering early-bird discounts and incentives to the first wave of sign-ups. This creates our initial momentum and excitement within the community.
Launch Day:
The culmination of these efforts are projected to leed to the grand launch day. The celebration of the program will be a significant milestone to establish a long-term vision turned into reality. Postpartum moms are assured to walk into a gym designed specifically for them, with dedicated trainers, community spaces, and Kids Care services.

One lesson that I had to unlearn was the notion that success is solely measured by external achievements and societal expectations. The backstory involves a personal and professional journey where I initially equated success with tangible markers such as job titles, salary, and recognition.
In the early stages of my career, I was driven by external validation and societal norms, constantly striving to meet predefined benchmarks of success. The more promotions I earned or the higher my income became, the more I believed I was on the right path. However, this perspective was limiting, and I found myself feeling unfulfilled despite outward achievements.
