Markia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?

The Pro Boss Agency is a creative agency specializing in creative direction for e-commerce social media campaigns. This idea came about last January and one year later it is finally in full motion. Before, I was as lash artist of 5 years and as you can imagine being a new business owner you have to learn how to do everything yourself. In the process I was in charge of my all marketing from branding, to planing photoshoots, and creative campaigns which led to my love of creative direction. Not only was I the creative brains behind my own stuff, but others begin inquiring about my services and I soon learned my potential.

After getting my Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, I took a leap of faith and decided to end my lash career to pursue my creative direction dreams. No one believe me or understood what I was doing, but I knew the vision God gave was bound to come true. After the vision was given, I just started moving in the direction I wanted to go. So in order to move beyond the idea phase to the actual launch, I put one foot in front of the other and trusted the vision.

I am Markia Ash, the owner of The Pro Boss Agency specializing in assisting e-commerce businesses aiming to broaden their social media presence. Our focus is on providing expertise in creative direction and producing compelling advertising content for social media campaigns. We specialize in crafting distinctive visuals designed to resonate with your target audience, ensuring a significant boost in brand awareness and engagement.

Now above is my professional statement for my business but at heart I’m a professional creative. I started my journey with being a brand strategist for beauty professionals but expand as I realized to creative capacity of my mind. I’ve done all you can think of when it comes to marketing branding, graphic design, website development, email management, planning events, and etc. But I realized my heart wasn’t fulfilled just because those things weren’t my passion. Now I focus on making creative ideas come to life visually. I offer services such onset creative direction, creative concept ideation, and hybrid campaign management.

I am most proud of my ability to take my clients vision and make it come to life as well as exceed their expectations. When it comes to creativity there’s no limit and I love creating things people have never seen before.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy for growing has been through on the ground marketing. I love to attend networking events with people who fit within my target audience. I also think being intentionally and not trying to serve everyone I come across has also helped me gain a loyal client based. Once at networking events, I pitch myself to potential which leads to a consultation and the rest is history based off my knowledge.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

One resource I wish I knew about earlier in my creative journey is a website platform called Domestika. This platform has a lot great course for reasonable prices and it has helped me stay educated. I love learning about my craft and this is a great platforms for creatives as well as others in the marketing industry.
