We were lucky to catch up with Markee Farrant recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Markee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.

We are WildHearts Photo Booth bus, we are Tampa’s first unique photo booth experience. WildHearts is designed to give you and your guests the most unique photo booth experience Tampa Bay has to offer. We have a wide array of vintage photo booth options from Volkswagen buses, Shasta camper, to vintage tricycle. From the moment your guests see the Volkswagen parked at your venue, to the moment they hold their photo strip in their hands. WildHearts is sure to have people talking & be a highlight of any event!

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

WildHearts started out as a side hustle for me and has now turned into my main career. At the time of started WildHearts I was a photographer and mom. Any free time I had I put into building the business and restoring our Volkswagens and Shasta camper. My husband still works a full time job and helps out with WildHearts on the weekends as well.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source of new clients for us has been word of mouth. People see us at an event or wedding and love what we do and are fortunate enough to have them pass our name along. Also, building relationships with event venues has been a great source for new clients. We are easy to work with and always reliable and venues love to pass our information along to future clients.
