We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mark Mendez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Mark thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us about an important lesson you learned while working at a prior job?

As a photographer and in the service industry I have learned thru the years that if your good to your client and give them the vip treatment no matter who they are it always comes back 10x fold

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I am a fashion and life style Photographer base in Los angeles at the same I have my own model management as mother agent as what we call in our industry for the past 13 years now what makes me different from the other photographer is i’m also an agent meaning I know exactly what the other agencies needs and client since it work hand in hand models photog and agencies..

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?

I used to struggle so much at least for 3 years of being in my industry being an artist is never easy you don’t really make money at first but I kept my dream alive and believed in my self and focus on what i’m good at then after 5 years i’m finally living the dream and the struggles I been thru it all paid off finally . so don’t stop believing . just do what you love but also make sure you have good taste with everything coz you need that .

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

social media is a big part of my business 100%. what you put out there and what people see reflects who you are in every way make sure you put your best work for everyone to see and you’ll see the difference how people will just be drawn to your work and business will just come to you .. again key is have a great taste and networking and knowing the right people is key ..
