Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mark Lieber. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Mark, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Infinity Festival was born from the belief that innovation is transforming how stories are told. I started the festival in 2018 because I felt that Hollywood’s storytellers and Silicon Valley’s technologists were working towards the same goals, but didn’t have the opportunity to engage with each other. I wanted to create a space where they could converge, blend ideas, and spark something new – from AI-driven narratives to immersive storytelling formats.
Over the past eight years, that mission has only deepened. Every October in Los Angeles, Infinity Festival becomes a cultural laboratory where engaging panels and immersive exhibits invite our community to not just adapt to change – but to define it. We’re celebrating the visionaries who don’t just respond to disruption, but rewrite the rules of storytelling itself.
What makes this mission meaningful to me personally is how this festival unites diverse voices – studio veterans, indie creators, students, and technologists – all under one roof. But even more, I’m proud that we’ve created a home for creative exploration and dialogue – where every participant feels empowered to lead the next chapter of innovation.

Mark, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of entertainment and technology, and that passion is what ultimately led me to create Infinity Festival. Early on, I saw that Hollywood storytellers and Silicon Valley technologists were both working on extraordinary innovations – but often in silos. There wasn’t a place where directors, producers, engineers, and visionaries from gaming and tech could come together to exchange ideas. In 2018, I launched Infinity Festival to bridge that gap, and it’s grown into one of the leading cultural events exploring the future of storytelling.
Infinity Festival isn’t a traditional conference. We curate screenings, immersive exhibits, demos, keynotes, and conversations that give attendees a hands-on look at the technologies shaping media — everything from AI and virtual production to gaming and sports innovation.
I’m proudest of the community we’ve built. Over the years, we’ve welcomed Academy Award–winning filmmakers, Fortune 500 executives, and emerging artists, all sharing space and ideas. But equally important, we’ve created a platform where new voices and fresh perspectives can be heard alongside industry veterans. That exchange of ideas — across disciplines, industries, and generations — is what fuels innovation.
What I’d like people to know about Infinity Festival is that it’s more than an event. It’s a movement dedicated to shaping the way stories will be told for the next generation. Whether you’re a filmmaker curious about AI, a gamer pushing the limits of interactivity, or a tech innovator looking to understand how your tools impact culture, Infinity Festival is where those conversations happen. For me, that’s the most exciting part: knowing we’re not just reflecting change, but helping to lead it.
How’d you meet your business partner?
I met my business partner, Adam Newman, through the very world we now celebrate at Infinity Festival – the creative community where entertainment and technology collide. Adam came from the studio and production side, with a background as an entertainment executive and storyteller, while I had been focused on building platforms that connected technologists with Hollywood. We quickly realized that we shared the same vision: there needed to be a space where these two worlds could not only meet, but truly collaborate.
What started as conversations about how emerging technologies were beginning to reshape content creation turned into a partnership. Adam brought a creative lens and deep understanding of how stories are made, while I brought the structure and strategy to build an event that could scale. Together, we founded Infinity Festival to bridge the cultural and professional gap between Silicon Valley innovators and Hollywood creatives.
Over the years, that partnership has been key to our success. Adam is the creative guide who ensures the festival always stays rooted in storytelling, while I focus on building the platform and relationships that allow it to thrive. That balance is what makes Infinity Festival unique – it’s both a showcase for the latest technology and a celebration of the artists who bring those tools to life.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think our reputation has been built on two things: consistency and community. From the beginning, Infinity Festival has been about creating an authentic space where Hollywood and Silicon Valley can come together in a meaningful way. We’ve never positioned the festival as a trade show – it’s always been about real conversations, hands-on experiences, and highlighting the people who are actually shaping the future of entertainment. That authenticity has helped us earn the trust of both creative and tech communities.
Another factor has been our partnerships. Having presenting sponsors like HP and NVIDIA return year after year, and now welcoming AMD, reinforces the credibility of what we’re building. The same goes for our long-standing relationships with organizations like Sony Pictures Imageworks. Those partnerships show that we’re not just putting on an event – we’re building a trusted platform for innovation.
Ultimately, I think our reputation comes from being ahead of the curve. We’ve been talking about AI, immersive media, and virtual production for years, long before they became buzzwords. People know that if they come to Infinity Festival, they’ll see what’s next and they’ll experience it in an environment that’s collaborative, creative, and inspiring.
