We were lucky to catch up with Mark Ervin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Mark , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
At GreenGro Biologicals, our mission is to empower gardeners to nurture the soil using ancient methods and modern science so their plants can thrive. Our customers can expect products that are easy to use that provide consistently amazing results.
Just as the ocean is full of life, soil is teeming with a vast array of organisms that thrive on symbiotic relationships. All of our products contain beneficial microorganisms that will nurture these relationships and help your soil flourish, maintaining a living soil system for plants to thrive with less stress on you and the planet

Mark , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I founded GreenGro Biologicals in 2009 with Mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria blends. My education as an archeologiest learning ancient agricultural methods led him to the discovery of “Terra Preta” soils which are found in the Amazonian basin, and are considered some of the most fertile soils in the world. I built upon that philosophy and expanded the product line to include the highest quality – dry organic fertilizer blends, dry organic soil additives and organic and biological pest controls on the market today.
Hello!
I have always been passionate about sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming practices. My journey into this industry began with a deep-rooted love for the environment and a desire to make a positive impact on our planet. Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to learning and implementing innovative farming techniques that not only enhance crop yields but also improve soil health and biodiversity.
As a key figure in the regenerative agriculture movement, I provide a range of services aimed at educating and empowering farmers gardeners, and growers to adopt sustainable practices. My work involves consulting with agricultural businesses, commercial farms, conducting workshops and seminars, and producing educational content through various social media platforms, including my podcast, ‘Regenerate Revolution: Life, Soil, Success.’
One of the primary problems I aim to solve for my clients is the degradation of soil health due to conventional practices. Through my work, I promote the use of regenerative techniques such as cover cropping, crop rotation, and the application of organic amendments like biochar. These methods not only restore soil fertility but also enhance water retention and sequester carbon, contributing to the fight against climate change.
I am incredibly proud of the impact my work has had on both small-scale and large-scale operations. Seeing farmers transition to more sustainable practices and witnessing the positive changes in their soil and crop health is immensely rewarding.
For potential clients, followers, and fans, I want you to know that my mission is to inspire and support you in your journey toward sustainable and regenerative farming. Whether you are a seasoned farmer looking to improve your practices or a newcomer eager to learn, my goal is to provide you with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed. Together, we can create a more resilient and sustainable future for agriculture.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Be honest and be constant. I stopped trying to ‘sell’ my products and started doing more informational videos. I give home remedies solutions but also mention GreenGro products that can help with the problem. My social media coordinator and I record and batches depending on the season and schedule out posts with corresponding garden problems that might be happening or might start to happen. I also do weekly discounts on our shopify and collaboration giveaways. These giveaway are usually done with other fertilizer companies that might be seen as ‘competition’ but we make sure that our products go hand in hand with each giveaway. We also ask questions and ask people to share their experience with using our products.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
STAY connected and LISTEN! I am an open door when it comes to my sales team. They have access to me 24/7. We have weekly meetings / pep talks
