Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mark Ashcraft. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Mark thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Being a father of a female racer I’ve seen 1st hand the gaps in opportunities in motorsports. Because of this, the mission of Ashcraft Motorsports Racing is deeply meaningful as we help bridge several critical gaps and hopefully help provide opportunities in the motorsports industry.
We look to empowering young women, Ashcraft Motorsports Racing creates pathways for them to excel in a space where representation matters. We look at ways to provide mentorship, which is invaluable for building confidence and skills. Young women can learn directly from experienced professionals or even peers gaining insights that might otherwise take years to acquire.
Ashcraft Motorsports Racing goes beyond just on track participation. We help equip young women with the technical, strategic, and interpersonal skills needed to thrive, both on and off the track. By creating a supportive community we try to ensure that participants feel valued, understood, and encouraged. This positive foundation can inspire lasting success and commitment to motorsports or any automotive trades.
By leading by example, Ashcraft Motorsports Racing helps shift perceptions within the industry, demonstrating that women have a vital role in all aspects of motorsport—from engineering to driving to leadership. This mission not only transforms individual lives but also contributes to a more diverse, inclusive, and innovative motorsports industry.

Mark, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hello! I’m Mark Ashcraft, director of Ashcraft Motorsports Racing. I’m a husband, veteran, father of 2, small business owner, a techy and a gearhead. So I founded Ashcraft Motorsports Racing to address the unique challenges faced by young women in motorsports and the automotive trades. We look to offer training programs, hands-on racing experience, and a positive environment that empowers participants to achieve their goals.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I would like to say here we have X amount of championships but as of today I can’t say that. I will say our supportive environment and professionalism has built a loyal community of supporters, partners, and alumni.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Managing Ashcraft Motorsports Racing and maintaining high morale involves a combination of effective leadership, clear communication, and a focus on fostering a positive environment. We have some key values to we follow;
