We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marissa and Casey Fuline and Lemieux . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marissa and Casey below.
Marissa and Casey, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
At The Scoop Creative, we aren’t structured like a corporate social media “agency.” We don’t generate cookie-cutter content or ideas for our clients. We aim to provide our clients and members with unique experiences and simply do not “copy and paste”. Our newest venture was launching our Social Growth Collective Membership where we provide our members with monthly content calendars, courses, social media updates, and more. Our members also get a monthly opportunity to connect with us via Zoom to ask any questions that they have for us. We wanted our membership to feel personal- as if the participants are part of a group that are in a similar boat, navigating the complicated waters of social media. Our intention is for our members to get to know us as people and business owners and to be comfortable connecting with us. We believe this type of relationship matters because it creates a sense of trust and credibility that someone may not get from your typical “agency.”
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We are Marissa Fuline and Casey Lemieux, Co-Founders of The Scoop Creative. We are proud graduates of Coastal Carolina University and worked in social media for almost 5 years before creating our own business.
Our intention is to help other small business owners navigate the social media realm. We do this through our monthly membership, The Social Growth Collective as well as through consulting and teaching. At The Scoop we set ourselves apart by providing our members and clients with the tools they need to succeed on social media and by not just telling them, but showing them. We want our members and clients to experience the joy of social media by having fun and making it a personal experience.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
We will always preach to anyone who will listen- COMMUNITY AND NETWORKING! Your community and overall network are by far among the most important things you have when starting a business. We are very lucky to have an outstanding community of family and friends that have provided us with unwavering support since we started our business two years ago. We have grown our network substantially through networking groups, and client referrals. (In our opinion, there is no greater compliment!) Our community and network are not only great sources for clientele but also for the invaluable knowledge and stories of experiences they have provided to us.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
