Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marisabel Moreno. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Marisabel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I made the courageous decision to leave my career as a Paramedic to pursue my dream of becoming a Spiritual Healer. It was not an easy choice, but I realized that my true calling is to help others reconnect with their authentic selves.
I had the foundation down-I knew I had the skills and the passion-I just need to trust that my vision would be successful. If you can dream it, then it’s already yours!
Taking the leap required deep belief in myself and my purpose. I didn’t know how and I didn’t know when, but I knew I would be lead to the places that were meant for me.
Building this business has forced me to step outside of my comfort zone. I’ve been figuring out how to create meaningful content, build connections within my community and confidently put myself out there to grow!
Every step of the way has been enjoyable and has taught me something new. This journey hasn’t just shaped my business, it has shaped me! The most fulfilling part of it all? I get to watch others become the best version of themselves!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Marisabel, I am the Spiritual Baddie of San Antonio!
My spiritual awakening happened a little over 2 years ago, it was an incredible moment that connected me with my Spirit Guides. They poured this knowledge into me and said “it’s time.” Over the next two years I unlocked my spiritual gifts, worked through my own shadow and learned that the love I had been searching for my entire life lived within me. It wasn’t until I found the love within myself that I began subconsciously preparing for my transition from a Paramedic to a Spiritual Healer. I began attending content creator events, transitioned from TikTok to Instagram, and surrounded myself with like-minded individuals. The universe let me have a taste of success when I booked my first private event, and that was it for me! SOLD! Whatever the universe wanted from me, they would have it!
Then, The Universe said “Quit you job,” and i was like, “what..” A few days later I put in my two-weeks and I became Marisabel, the Spiritual Baddie of SA full-time!
My services include, but are not limited to, tarot readings, meditation, shadow work and energy healing, I provide a safe space inside my home for clients to do in-person sessions or we can accommodate clients with an online session!
The love and light you seek lives within you, you hold all the power within yourself, I am just here to guide you along your journey! During our sessions I teach you how to become reliant on yourself, to listen to your intuition, to heal your inner child, to manage your anxiety and heartache with your own energy. I help give your power back to you!
After each session, my clients leave feeling empowered and capable of transforming their own lives!
When you walk into my home for a session, you are greeted with a warm and nurturing energy. We help you settle in with a warm cup of tea. Each session is tailored specific for each client, specific to you! Throughout the session there is check-ins and time dedicated for discussions if need be. After the session we leave you with self-care tips and we follow-up with you within the week to see how you are recovering.
One thing that I am most proud of is my ability to believe in myself and trust that everything will work in my favor. It’s incredibly vulnerable to say that in an online article but I believe it is something that you, the reader can resonate with. No one is going to believe in you more than yourself, so why not believe that you can..and you will?
Believe in yourself and watch how the world changes for you.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In the fall of ‘24, I had broken up with this guy and I decided that I was going to invest more time in becoming a content creator. Amigas in Media was hosting a content creator event at the Thrift Thru and I pushed myself out of my comfort zone because I had to start somewhere right?
Being in EMS for ten years, talking to people was no issue. I was the Paramedic. I talked to patients, doctors, and family members. I made difficult decisions and I worked with a team, I had perfected my craft but now I was being placed in different rooms with a different audience and I knew *nothing* about being a content creator. I mean, I had been on TikTok for years but this felt so much more than that, and it was!
I had arrived too early, so I grabbed coffee at a local coffee shop. At 10, I pulled up, black coffee cup in hand and walked through the door. I was greeted by Amigas in Media, and immediately to my right I noticed the PINK COFFEE POP UP. If I wasn’t already a nervous wreck, because that’s a literal understatement,I was now! I had never in my life been so anxious to talk to people, I wanted to curl into a ball and roll away. It was so bad! I cruised around the shop, other girls had started to arrive and they were mingling and laughing and I was just there. Anxious and awkward!
I separated myself from the others and gave myself a pep talk. I told myself, you are not going to be defeated by your anxiety, you are not going to leave here a failure. I gave myself affirmations and reminded myself why I was there that day. I told myself, “you have to make two connections and then you can leave.” As soon as I said that, two girls walked near me and we started talking. As difficult as that conversation was for me, we ended it with making a instagram reel.
I left immediately after, just like I promised myself!
After this event, I found myself at the Pearl and I journaled about what I had experienced that day and what it meant moving forward. I took what I had learned about myself and others and I became better. I kept showing up for myself at events. I continued putting myself in places that challenged me to speak.
I continue to find my voice each and every day.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Throughout this journey I’ve had to unlearn having a scarcity mindset. That belief lived in the depths of my soul and had been conditioned in me since I was child.
I grew up in your typical Mexican household, where having a lack mindset wasn’t even given a second thought. It was all we knew.
I’ve had to unravel this belief slowly. It started with a simple mind shift change affirming that I would always be provided for. I had to learn that I was worthy of success and abundance.
In my bedroom, there’s a huge whiteboard covered in affirmations. Everyday for three months I said the affirmations to myself. I said them until I believed them in my soul. That’s what made the difference and that is how I unlearned my scarcity mindset.
