Marisa , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Yes, I do. Vacations are crucial as they force me to stay away from my laptop and the urge to check my email. As a writer a short vacation helps to clear my mind, “if I can’t clear my mind, the story will never end.” As an accountant vacations, are extremely important as they help me evaluate what’s working and what’s not.
The advice I give anyone in the same boat. A short vacation is very important. It will help you evaluate your business, and prepare you, so when you are back you can execute those ideas with a clearer mind.

I’m an El Paso, Texas native. I’m a mom of four. I’m a multitasker! A cook, writer, accountant, and business owner. Super excited about this journey as a writer, that has been in the works for years. My first book will be published in November 2023. The problems I solve as an accountant are analyzing the business and applying problem-solving solutions. Once in a while I also do some “detective work.”
My hobbies are cooking, I love to recreate recipes. I share my food and travel experiences on my channel.

I just decided to share my recipes online. Just go for it!
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Yes, there is so much new tech that can help you do better videos. There’s also software that you can buy, and it will help you type and all you do is talk to it. How awesome is that! Your fingers will thank you.
