We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Marisa Cali a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Marisa, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
The number one thing it takes to be successful is possessing an undying belief that you are worthy of success and you are responsible for this belief. If we stand in our own way via self-doubt, we won’t be able to share our gifts with the world.

Marisa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have consulted with business professionals and startups since 2015 and managed accounts in various industries including sports, medical manufacturing, real estate, and non-profit organizations because I could work from anywhere and still provide value to those who needed the guidance.
In April 2020, I launched the Live on Social Now Productions division of my business. This role blends my love of tech, project management, and creativity and takes all the guesswork out of live event production. I have had the pleasure of working with exceptional partners to execute virtual summits, exclusive fireside chats, Q&A series, and podcasts that build community.
Live on Social Now Productions collaborates with business leaders and impact professionals to produce and execute events that tell stories and make impact. This work empowers me to share her experience with fellow business owners so they too can thrive by showcasing their skillset and expertise to the online world. My team and I can take care of all your remote production needs so you can be present for the conversations that matter.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Believing in yourself and your worth is essential as you navigate running a business as a creative. As a creative business owner, I sometimes struggled with charging what I was worth. I would accept projects that didn’t align with me personally and raised red flags in the initial discussions – just to make a little cash to survive. Once I adopted my own self-worth and belief that I am worthy of success as a business owner AND creative is when my business changed.
My attitude towards sales changed and confidence was through the charts.
Have you ever had to pivot?
Business owners like myself were forced to shut down our offices in March 2020. We were to stop attending events, making businesses connections, and building our business reputation through the local community, however, we needed to pay the bills despite everyone immediately cutting Marketing costs. I knew all the changes were happening for a reason and I had to think quickly when I saw the need for live stream production services.
It was in early April 2020 that I knew I could provide my services in a unique way. I felt compelled to share my present moment awareness through live stream production and mindset motivation. Through this work, I have inspired business owners to show up as their true authentic selves and share their messages with their audience.
