We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mario Gracia a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Mario thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always wanted something to do with the art of music. Seeing my dad perform on a big stage and seeing people’s reactions was one of the best things I’ve ever seen in my life. Also I enjoyed hearing different sounds, different anything if that makes any sense.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

What sets me apart from other people, is my passion that I have. The passion I have fuels me to keep living, I love everything I do with music and anything that involves it. I grew up with my grandparents and they taught me to always finish what I start and never take anything for granted. They always pointed me in the right direction and I truly appreciate everything they have ever done for me, I make music for the people that feel like they aren’t anything in their life.
You are your own person and I hope you know that I feel your pain and emotions and just know my music will guide you.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

One of my biggest goals that I have is to make this a living, I know it’s cliche to say but I’m not in it for the money, but some money wouldn’t hurt. I truly love this stuff more than I love myself. So what I’m saying is my biggest goal is to prove the people that hate on me, wrong.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

I love hearing feedback, my favorite thing to hear is how much the people love my music. I love hearing “Man Mario, this is what I’m talking about bro” I also love seeing peoples reactions to the music I’m putting out too, Truly, Truly amazing.
