Alright, Mario thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I think in order to be successful you need to never want to know what being unsuccessful feels like. There will be various times when you are unsuccessful but working through those moments to ultimately reach success is what makes the difference. When you’re an entrepreneur there are so many challenges that come your way you constantly have to be able to adapt and move forward.

If you don’t have the will to never give up it will be a long tough road.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Mario Cerrito is a multi award winning horror filmmaker from New Jersey. His films have been critically acclaimed and popular all over the world.

His career started in 2013 with his first feature film DEADLY GAMBLE. The movie went on to be signed by Los Angeles based film studio and distribution company Cinema Epoch and was released to Cable Television, EPIX, Amazon Prime, Tubi and more.

In 2015, Cerrito wrote produced and directed THE LISTING, which won best feature film at the 2019 Horror News Film Festival. It was also represented by its distribution company, SGL Entertainment at Marche Du Film- Cannes Film Festival.

His latest franchise, HUMAN HIBACHI includes four films, Human Hibachi, Human Hibachi 2: Feast in the Forest and Human Hibachi: The Beginning (short film) and Human Hibachi 3: The Last Supper (currently in production.) The first three films are all signed to the legendary Troma Entertainment and each went on to win the prestigious Best Film at the New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival in Atlantic City. The movies have sold in countries all over the world and DVD’s can be found in physical media stores as far Japan and Australia.

Cerrito’s career has been featured in top horror media and websites such as Fangoria, Bloody Disgusting, Dread Central, Horror Society, Horror News, Horror Fuel and more.

Cerrito and his family were featured on Travel Channel’s reality show “Ghost Nation.”

I am most proud of the HUMAN HIBACHI franchise I created, it has won multiple awards and gained a global cult following.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding part is seeing your vision come to life. It takes many months and years to develop a movie with many different steps. Each one has its challenges and figuring them out and getting to the finish line is very rewarding.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I want to leave a legacy behind. That is what drives me the most.
