We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mario Angel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mario, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Welcome to LoudASF!

We are a community centric mobile recording studio and youth music empowerment initiative! Our first mission is to empower and inspire the next generation of artists by providing access to music education, opportunities for artistic expression, and a supportive community environment to those who don’t have easy access or the financial means to achieve their dreams! Through music production classes, instrument raffles, charity events, and collaborations with established artists, we aim to nurture creativity, build confidence, and foster a passion for music among the youth while contributing positively to our community!

Our second mission is to bring professional-grade recording capabilities to artists and communities, ensuring high-quality recording regardless of location. We aim to eliminate barriers to recording by offering convenience, tech expertise, and a conducive environment for artists to create and produce their music, fostering creativity, and enabling the realization of musical aspirations!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

So what inspired me to start this music journey was at a very young age! I really feel in love with music at age 12, playing instruments and learning how to record on a basic windows computer using audio recording and layering tracks over tracks to create a full song. It wasn’t till later in life I realized I was producing music at a young age already with basic tech and started exploring more of a professional grade recording software and using pro-quality equipment to record myself as well as other artists! The joy that I feel when an artist hears their vision and creativity come to life is something that’s unexplainable.

However, during COVID 19 business slowed down a lot and people were scared to record anymore due to all the precautions placed. As time passed by, I thought if this is how the world is going to change why not change too. This is when I came up with the idea to create a mobile studio business. I took my equipment to other artists houses, rehearsal spaces, even rented AirBnB’s or outdoor parks and used my knowledge of audio engineering and applied it to wherever I was asked to record. This is where LoudASF really grew, because most of the time artists go to the studio of the producer. But with this method, the studio comes to you. And sometimes artists do not have the means to travel, time to go to a studio due to work restrictions or life obstacles, but we make it easier to achieve those aspirations by making time around their schedule to go to where it makes it easier for them.

Aside from the mobile studio side, we also have a goal to empower the less fortunate youth. Especially with how everything is getting difficult to achieve financially, we want to be able to provide a nurturing community for the next generation of artists who may not have the means to afford musical instruments or go to music school to realize their dreams and become the next Scotch Storch, Dr. Dre, Jimi Hendrix, Twenty One Pilots, whatever their vision is and aspirations. We want to achieve this by providing free classes to help the youth set their foot in the right direction as well as hold charity events where we can raffle off instruments, hold contests, meet and greet the established artists that inspire them, and give an opportunity to the community to reach their music dreams!

We feel that music should not be bound between 4 walls, the world is an open canvas for musicians to grow and succeed!

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?

We are always one on one with clients. We make sure they are included in every process from recording up to the master finished track. And it even goes beyond the studio setting, we help find events and help the artists get heard and push them forward to grow further than just a recording. We’ve done work where we scout for locations that fits the artists style and music and help them get on the line-up to express their music to the public and feel the excitement of the stage! Aside from this additional step we take, we also make sure to promote the artists and get them recognition through social media and other forms of media. We don’t want to just let the artists dreams end at the studio, we want them to go out to the world and enjoy the feeling of what it’s like to showcase their creation to the world! In turn, doing so we create a loyalty among our artists and the world of mouth of how we operate and help push their drive to success. All these factors we feel creates a strong community and in turn we want to apply this to the youth and help them by pushing their dreams to reality. Not only from learning about music, but to get them to the stage as well and be able to express themselves freely as well.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

As we mentioned earlier, COVID 19 was a real big hit in not just our business, but in everyone’s life. This downturn made us rethink how we could adapt and prevail to continue our mission as a music studio. So we came up with the idea of a mobile recording studio. Along side we also wanted to help the community because this life changing event altered the reality of many families and businesses. It wasn’t an easy transition and up to this day communities still struggle. So we not only did we want to provide easier access to the music production, but also bring together the community and enjoy music together while we help nurture and create a supportive environment for the next generation of artists!
