Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marina Panfil. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Marina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.
My love for beauty and skincare goes way back to my childhood in Moldova, where I was inspired by my grandmother’s knack for creating natural, homemade remedies using herbs and plants from her garden. Watching her, I was always fascinated by the magic of these ingredients and dreamed of helping others feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.
Though I initially pursued a career in finance and accounting in Moldova, my passion for skincare never faded. After moving to the U.S. in 2008, I decided to follow my heart and study aesthetics. I earned my Esthetician diploma from the Euro Institute of Skincare in Renton, WA, in 2014, and later, a Medical Esthetician diploma from the Washington Laser Institute in Federal Way.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked intensively in the medical spa field, gaining hands-on experience in everything from crafted Facials to chemical peels and microneedling to sculpting face massages. Now, I’m thrilled to have started my own practice, blending my background in economics with my true passion for skincare.
I truly believe that a healthy, radiant complexion has the power to transform how we feel about ourselves.
If you were to give a young professional a piece of advice, what would it be?
Stay true to your passion, stay dedicated, stay consistent even when times are tough and the universe seems to be against you. And you will see your dreams come true.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Marina Panfil. After arriving to the US from Eastern Europe in 2008 I was considering different carriers I could pursue, and one of my best friends Sevilya said: you need to be an Esthetician. I had no idea what that was but the Universe had its own plan for me. So sure enough, I went to school to become an Esthetician in 2014, immediately after that I got licensed as a master esthetician in the state of Washington. As I’ve briefly mentioned earlier , I have been passionate about biology, chemistry and cosmetic ingredients since I was little and before I even realized I did.
I took a few different jobs at med spas and salons and after gaining extensive knowledge and experience in both skincare and serving clients, I felt ready to embark on my own solo career journey. I 2020 I opened my own studio in the heart of Edmonds, WA. Some services I provide : Crafted Facials ( custom tailored to each client’s needs ); Microneedling / Collagen Induction Therapy; Chemical Peels; Sculpting Face Massage; Lash Lamination & tint; Brow Lamination & Tint.
What do you think are the problems you solve for your clients?
I help clients in their skincare journey whether they are completely new or experienced. I support them in every step of the journey before procedures, during and after, educate them fully on homecare and how essential it is and how to do it correctly because that is crucial in our success. I encourage clients into self acceptance, to feel beautiful and confident in their own skin at every age and in every season of their life ( hence the name of my business ). My educational approach helps clients understand skin and aging at its depths, enabling them to make the best decisions when it comes to choosing esthetic procedures and products. My natural rejuvenation treatments ( main pillar being the Sculptural Face Lifting – essentially a Face Sculpting and Lifting Massage )- allows for restoring skin health and radiance without the need of invasive aesthetic treatments or, if they chose to do both – in support of the later to keep the tissues and muscles of the face healthy and therefore improve the results of these aggressive procedures if you will.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Yes I would choose the same exact profession no doubt whatsoever. I truly feel that this is what I was meant to do. My passion and my dedication confirm to me this is true. My clients satisfaction on a regular basis, their results, how I restore their skin but also not less importantly – their emotional well being with my healing touch – these are all confirmations I am on the right path and I would never trade it for anything.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
The aesthetics industry is ever changing and constantly innovating and with technological advancements and sophisticated equipment and products. I deeply believe though that, no matter what year we will be in, there is no technology that can replace human connection and the healing touch. It is the most powerful and it leaves the greatest impact on someone’s skin but first and foremost – their mental health, emotional wellbeing and balance. I see it every day!
