Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marina Ingvarsson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Marina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?
While many think of innovation as big tech breakthroughs, sometimes it’s about addressing unmet needs in your industry. That’s what I’m doing with my upcoming book ‘Happy Influencer.’ I noticed that most resources for content creators focus solely on metrics and monetization, completely overlooking the human side of being an influencer. My innovation is bringing a fresh perspective that combines business success with personal well-being – creating a framework that helps influencers thrive without sacrificing their authenticity or mental health. It’s a new approach in an industry that typically prioritizes numbers over everything else, and the early response has shown there’s a real need for this balanced perspective.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a Fashion Stylist and Influencer based in Upstate NY, where I balance my creative career with being a wife and mom to my beautiful daughter Freya. My journey in fashion began as a model, but I found my true calling when I launched my blog in 2015. What sets me apart is my unique perspective that combines professional styling expertise with real-life practicality. Having been on both sides of the camera and understanding the realities of being a working mom, I bring an authentic approach to fashion and content creation.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Being based in Upstate NY has helped me develop a unique perspective on wearable, everyday fashion. My best advice for those building their social media presence is to be consistent and authentic. Share what you genuinely love and know about. I’ve found my audience grows most when I share relatable content – like how to style one piece multiple ways or make current trends work for real life. People appreciate honesty and realness over perfection.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
The biggest game-changer in balancing work and family has been learning to batch-create content and schedule dedicated ‘content days’ for the shoots. This allows me to focus on creating quality content while keeping other days free for family time. I’ve learned to be strategic with my time – scheduling posts and emails in advance and setting specific hours for engaging with my audience. Most importantly, I discovered that success isn’t about saying yes to everything, but about choosing partnerships and opportunities that fit well with my lifestyle and schedule.
