Marilynn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
I have been able to manage my own social media. I have been able to do as much as creative content as I would like and it has slowly been paying off. Just keep posting! Don’t be afraid to show your craft to show you work. Someone is always watching and it will pay off.
Marilynn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a latina licensed esthetician who loves what she does. I love all things beauty. I started off as a girl who had a passion for makeup. I worked up the retail ladder for some time and hit a stump. I knew I wanted to change career paths but wanted to do it on my own. I decided to attended school to receive my esthetician license and so I did.
I love creating a safe space in my studio for every women to feel beautiful. Especially my Latina women as it’s common in our culture to put yourself second.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
My business partner happens to be my life partner my spouse. He has been with me every single step of the way. I have been very lucky to have all his support in everything that I do. It’s very important to have someone who believes in all your ideas and pushes you to do better and pushes you to your full potential.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I have built my beautiful audience on social media by creating reels and being very interactive. And be authentically you. I’ve come to learn people love someone who they can relate to. Don’t be shy with social media show yourself with our over sharing.
