We recently connected with Marilyn Gomez and have shared our conversation below.

Marilyn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

“My mission is to bring soulful empowerment, practical techniques & inspiration for you to thrive abundantly in life and business.

We all have so much to share and learn from one another.

In 2006, I lost everything to my autoimmune battle, RA. My career, my sense of stability, and my physical strength went out the window, and self-doubt flooded in. I had to start at square one after being placed on permanent disability, then figure out how to survive within the parameters of all these new rules, my debts, and a career change.

As I was healing from surgeries, I began to explore alternative healing. I started with Yoga, meditated, studied Reiki and Color Therapy, and volunteered at Cannabis Collectives to help patients who were experiencing chronic pain like me. I pushed myself to show up in all the places I hadn’t given a chance before because I had been “too busy.”

During these years, I found my calling and fell in love with Astrology! I knew I wanted to help others honor their value and health, understand necessary life & business foundations, and for those ready for a piece of the pie, I could show them how to bring it together for themselves.

Marilyn Gomez Wellness was a distant thought but began to shine brighter in my heart. My personal trials and tribulations led me here. I have recreated the health, life, and business of my dreams that support my needs first, so I pour from an overflowing cup instead of an empty one today.

Knowing the heaviness of financial and health woes, I thought: How can I help other entrepreneurs ditch burnout culture and succeed in their life and career? How can I support creative wealth builders aligning with their purpose-driven lives even if it felt out of reach?

Transforming a lack mentality, doubling down on their unique talents, and setting practical business foundations passionately lights me up inside, and I’m here to serve!

Marilyn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Through my journey of self-healing and discovery these past 12 years, I fell head-over-heels in love with and started studying Astrology. From my chart, I recognized the need to purge the toxic self-talk and push through the fears that told me I couldn’t be successful and labeled me “disabled.” I devoted my time and energy to unpacking everything that held me back and replaced limiting beliefs with empowering strategies.

And from the results alone (like ditchin’ meds I thought I’d need for life), I knew I needed to share my strategies and story with as many people as possible.

I decided to pair my business management background with the power of Astrology as I created Marilyn Gomez Wellness. My offerings include Astrology Readings, Online Courses, and Personal Coaching.

Today, I have the privilege of supporting many along their entrepreneurial and healing journies with the tools they need, motivating support, and guidance. People want to connect and find meaning in the work they’re putting out. Through self-awareness, alignment, discovery, and validation of their unique money-making talents, I can help my clients save time, save money, and continue to align with what will bring the most fulfillment in their lives or businesses.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I’ve learned from and lived through difficulties from a young age; being diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis by 9 years left me terrified of what the future holds. I didn’t understand at that age. I remember being sad, feeling it wasn’t fair and all I aspired to be just… wouldn’t be after all.

After a couple of years of not treating my issue’s root cause, my hip locked. I couldn’t walk or stand on it without experiencing excruciating pain. I spent years following in and out of my wheelchair.

The years of trauma and self-doubt, especially when countless doctors tell you “no,” will weigh heavy on your body. Energetically, mentally, emotionally, and physically until you can meet it head-on and do the inner work. Only then can your light shine so bright you become unstoppable. So, I kept going. Learning. Accepting. Growing.

I’m so grateful I gave myself a chance to learn that there are many roads to success and many seasons of life. With a lot of humility and dedication to figuring things out, I get to be here now.

Have you ever had to pivot?

I worked tirelessly, building businesses for others from the moment I could work. I was always trying to prove something. Until the doctors told me I needed back-to-back surgeries. This was the height of my “burnout mode.” I remember I could hardly walk because of the pain.

Life changed drastically from this point forward. I had to start over entirely. Mentally, physically, and financially. With physical & emotional trauma, self-doubt, and a new fixed income due to my disability.

I was devastated, and I wasn’t prepared.

My bills were inflated, medical bills started coming in, and I had to wait two years before seeing any disability money in my account.

This time in my life sent me looking for answers. How can I bring innovation to myself and my family? What do I need to learn? What did I need to change?

From that space of stillness, I started to rebuild.

I’m passionate about sharing everything I’ve learned through my personal experience, education, and entrepreneurial journey to empower courageous action & help others achieve their goals regardless of circumstances.

If I can shed light, support, or inspire a single person with my story, then every season of this life has been worth it!
