We were lucky to catch up with Marika Simon recently and have shared our conversation below.

Marika, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

Since I can remember I was always looking for ways to entertain. Being an only child inspired my imagination and my creativity, I knew growing up that I wanted to tell stories to the world. The first time I knew I wanted to pursue a creative path professionally came when I was very young. I remember being absolutely mesmerized by storytelling—the way it could transform reality, evoke powerful emotions, and even make you feel like you were experiencing something completely otherworldly. Growing up, I was that kid who was always staging little performances, immersing myself in characters, and creating stories that brought magic to everyday life.

But the real turning point came during a friend’s trip to an old cottage. I had a strange, unforgettable encounter that I couldn’t quite explain; it was a moment that felt intensely real but intangible like I’d brushed against something from another world. That experience left me with so many questions, and it sparked my fascination with the supernatural.

From that point on, I knew that I wanted my career to combine both creativity and exploration of the unknown. It wasn’t enough to simply tell stories; I wanted to understand and even experience them firsthand. This journey eventually led me to acting and paranormal research. Bringing the two together felt natural like every experience had guided me to this unique path where I could share these mysteries with others. Looking back, it feels like that early experience was the universe giving me a nudge, and I’m so grateful that I listened.

Hello! I’m Marika Simón, and I’m an actress, paranormal investigator, and spiritual guide. I’ve always had an interest in the supernatural and the unseen, which has naturally drawn me into the world of paranormal investigation and spiritual exploration. My journey into this industry began with my deep curiosity for the mysterious and a passion for understanding what lies beyond the physical world. Over time, this fascination grew into a career that lets me bring real stories and encounters with the supernatural to life, especially through my work on shows like Repossessed.

In terms of what I offer, my work involves investigating haunted locations, helping people make sense of paranormal experiences, and portraying these encounters in ways that resonate emotionally with audiences. I bring empathy, intuition, and a fierce dedication to every investigation, connecting deeply with the stories and experiences of those affected by the paranormal. I aim to bridge the gap between the physical and spiritual worlds, making these complex experiences relatable and accessible to viewers.

What sets me apart is my approach to paranormal work; I combine my background in acting with my skills in spiritual work, which allows me to bring both emotional depth and authenticity to what I do. I’m most proud of being able to create a safe, open space for people who might feel isolated or misunderstood because of their experiences. Every role I take on is an opportunity to explore different facets of human experience and bring authenticity to each character. Whether it’s on-screen or on stage, my mission is to immerse myself fully and give audiences a story that feels real, engaging, and thought-provoking.

As a paranormal researcher, my mission is rooted in a commitment to uncovering the unknown and sharing these discoveries with an open mind. My goal is to bring authenticity and scientific curiosity to every investigation, bridging the gap between the unexplained and the understandable. I want to shed light on experiences that might otherwise be dismissed, providing audiences with compelling evidence and stories that make them question and wonder. At the heart of my work is a desire to honour the stories and energies of the past while encouraging viewers to explore the possibilities that lie beyond what we can see.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being both an actor and a paranormal researcher is the unique blend of connection and discovery that each role brings. As an actor, it’s deeply fulfilling to connect with audiences emotionally, to bring characters and stories to life that resonate and stay with people. On the paranormal side, there’s this incredible thrill in exploring the unknown, piecing together mysteries, and offering audiences a fresh perspective on things we don’t fully understand.
