Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mariia Tsegelnyk. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Mariia , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

After I was able to heal myself from chronic Lyme Disease with Reiki and Energy healing, I just wanted to share this gift of healing with as many people as possible. I didn’t have a plan about doing it as business. All I wanted to do was to serve and help people. I started sharing healing tips on my Instagram, and as many people found my page very helpful, my following started to grow. However, I wasn’t monetizing my account for a year. I was giving healing sessions and serving my community for free. And then when people started experiencing the benefits of Reiki and Energy Healing, they would ask me to teach them how can they heal themselves and help others too, And that’s how the first Reiki class was born! In my first class I only had two students, and just in two months the classes were full and I was already teaching every weekend. I started teaching not just Reiki but other Energy Healing Modalities as well, such as Shamanic Healing, Angelic Healing, and more.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

When people are asking me what is it that I do? I respond: “I create an army of healers”.

I got into this industry by simply serving my community on Social Media for free, and haven’t even thought about turning this into a business. However, when you put your heart and soul into something, the reward always follows. Right now I have a world-renown International Energy Healing School that is certifying thousands of students each year all over the Globe in energy healing arts . The students take pride of being the graduates of the Light of Healing. The School is accredited with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and International Institute of Complementary Therapists.

Usually when students first come to the school, they have no idea what they are capable of, and as we continue our journey, my job as a teacher is not to invent anything new from scratch, but to help them tap into what’s already in them, activate their healing gifts, and provide a safe place for them to grow and expand their healing practice.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

If you have a burning desire to provide value to people and be of service, not thinking too much of what you can get out of it for yourself, but simply helping people and enjoying the process, remembering that it’s about the journey and not a destination.

Don’t be concerned too much about the number of the followers, but rather the quality of your interactions with your community, because that will help you to monetize your account.

Tips for growing your Social Media
1. Provide Quality Content.

2. Post regularly, however do not compromise the quality over the frequency. I found that it is best to post high quality content fewer times a week, rather than posting every day something that you know in your heart is not good, just to keep up with algorithm.

3. Include in your Instagram username the services that you provide to people. For example: Mariia. Reiki Teacher. Energy Healing Courses. Algorithm will much more likely recommend you to other people who are interested in these services.

4. Keep your bio short to four lines, so that people are able to see the link with your services in your profile.

5. Be authentic, share your real life: struggles, milestones, triumphs, and successes with your audience.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Remembering that good reputations are hard to build, but wicked easy to lose. I would never promote a product that can jeopardize my integrity. Over the years of serving my community, my people know they can trust my word, they know if I come out with the new product, it will exceed their expectations.
