We were lucky to catch up with Mariia Golubieva recently and have shared our conversation below.
Mariia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
Today’s education system and all sorts of courses help determine whether your child is more inclined towards creativity, business, or whether he is a future doctor, etc. I grew up and was brought up in the communist system of values, when you have to be what you say. Many thanks to my parents, who saw the creative essence in me and were able to develop it into a future profession. I drew well, went in for swimming and dancing, and also had a lot of social work. My mom sat me next to her when I was 10 years old and asked me what I would choose from all this if I had the opportunity to do only this. At that time, I had a super art teacher at my art school and I clearly made my choice. I graduated from this school with the best grades and it helped me get into my Architectural University and gave me my first profession.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Our family moved to America 8 years ago. Since then, I began to search for myself in this country. At this point, I had a creative burnout in my main profession as an architect. in Ukraine, I had my own successful architectural company, and the difficulties that awaited me in confirming my diploma in the American system stopped me. Well, the moment came when the idea came that I should do something and be sure to be creative! I am very organized and punctual, sociable and plus of course a creative person. All this is in my head that this can be implemented in the event business. I have three children and I regularly made birthdays and parties for them. That being said, the experience was good. Later, I realized that I like organizing weddings and they are also the most interesting for business. This is how my holiday agency Eventarium was born, and later, after graduating from a special wedding institute, I opened a new project Wedding Getaway Paradise. We organize and plan your event from the beginning to the last departed guest and the dismantling of the scenery. Our task is to give you maximum relaxation during the planning process and also receive pleasure during the party. In this we already have a large five-year experience and an excellent team of professionals.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I love seeing the results of my work! It is such a delight to see a newlywed couple with tears of joy and their parents and friends. As well as receiving compliments for your work later. This is the most powerful bonus that gives me the strength to go further and do even more. Our company has a little secret rule for internal use. We always do a little more than the client asked or expects. And it always works!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
This is my realization and this is what gives me interest in life and movement. And you can also make money doing it!
