Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mariel Mendez Ledezma . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Mariel, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
One of the projects that have been most meaningful has been bringing art to children without immediate access to artistic materials. Within my organization I have been able to develop my altruistic side of which I am proud to contribute a little of myself to the world.
Most children commented they are not good at art or drawing, but by showing them that this vulnerability can be the step to a great experience, they dare and are surprised at how well they do it. For me it is a great achievement to be able to convince them to try something new and not limit their creativity no matter how hidden it may be. They feel
proud of themselves and that for me is very meaningful.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
MARALOVE is a creative artistic platform that gives me the tools to show my extroverted – alter ego and artistic side, which I do not show by being my true self, “Mariel”. It is a dreamy, daring platform where I can offer an artistic service that can be seen, touched and emotionally connect. . My greatest purpose is to be able to transmit freedom and authenticity by expressing yourself. To be genuinely yourself.
I love to connect with my clients in customer service positively. To please them in their needs in the greatest possible way. But mostly emotionally, since a client who buys art is for the reason of intimacy that makes them feel and will feel attracted by the emotion that the work of art shows. It is an important role as an artist to develop that trust and excitement when it comes to having your creations purchased.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I think that of the moments in which I have been resilient, it has been when I have felt frustrated, desperate to sustain my business. I have had moments in which I do not have economic tools mainly and not only that, but lack of inspiration as well. Having social pressure for which I have felt the need to please, showing on my social media that MARALOVE “is still alive”, has not been easy. The best thing about this situation is knowing that it is temporary. But at that moment, getting out of that gray cloud is very difficult. I think that being honest with myself and continuing to believe in myself, in my conviction and my passion for art has been a decisive moment. Transforming that negative experience into a positive one is undoubtedly my resilient story.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My greatest goal is to let people know that daring to be themselves and believing that you can be whoever you want is essential. I think that’s why we came into the world. Knowing that no one is like ourselves, knowing that there is something special in you. Something that mostly people who love you see but you don’t. When you don’t have the courage to value yourself or your time. That is my greatest mission. Shout to the world to dare to dream and believe in themselves.
