We were lucky to catch up with Marie Sanabria recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Marie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

My name is Marie Sanabria and I am the owner of Vessels for your soul. This business did not start as something planned, but as a process. We moved from Puerto Rico in 2016 because the company transferred it. After a year of being here, my husband lost his job. and we lost the house. I didn’t work and we had two teenage children. We were able to get a place thanks to some savings and my daughter who helped us with a job she had. She was 17 and the boy was 12. At the moment I got frustrated, but then I began to ask God to give me ideas of what to do because you can’t get a job overnight. After a few days I had the idea of ​​creating massage candles and with some of our savings we bought what we needed. We started to advertise it on the networks and some were sold, but I knew we needed to do different things. At the time I started learning to make natural soaps and exfoliators. My husband and I would go a few places and set up a table and a tent with the products. Many times my daughter accompanied us. We were many times trying to sell under rain and sun to at least bring food home. We never left without selling even if it is a product. I felt immense sadness but I never showed it to my family. He kept creating things as if he had an empire. They were terribly hard two years, but God never left us. I still don’t understand how we were able to pay off our debts. My husband started doing some electrical work and we saved as much as we could. I started reading about organic and vegan care. I got interested in skin health the right way. Read about how women took care of their skin before and after Biblical times since at that time there were no cosmetics or skin products. I began to study the benefits of some foods on our skin, of plants and their oils. I started watching videos and taking courses. I learned which plants cannot be mixed, which ones are beneficial for different skin conditions and which foods are good and how to preserve them correctly. The testimony is much more, but I can only say that God took care of us. Now I not only have a website that manages my daughter’s business, but I also have a store in Plaza del Sol in Kissimmee Florida where soaps, exfoliators, acne treatments, rosasea, spots, collagen, skin care products are sold. hair, moisturizers, face and body creams, vegan makeup among many other handmade products. I have a loyal clientele with wonderful testimonials of positive changes. but there are still many people who do not know what we do or what it is about. We continue to create healthy products for your skin, and improve if we have to. I can only say that I am very grateful to God for supporting us when we did not have to eat or gasoline. Because the idea that he gave me is blessing many women, men and children. My intention is to go where no one has gone and to improve the quality of life of many people. Why the name Vessels for your soul? Because when you see the changes in your skin having tried everything, the soul and self-esteem change. Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

For me as a businesswoman it is to speak with testimonials. People normally have to see to believe. Many of my clients buy in confidence because an acquaintance, friend or family member told them about their results. Others do it because they see it on social networks, others because they want to take care of their skin in a different way or simply because the same doctors recommend using natural products because medicine has already tried everything.

I am creating all the time and many times I prepare what clients ask me or ask if I can do. I try to please them in whatever way I can, almost always it is achieved but sometimes not because more than a skin condition it is an emotional condition that they have to work on first or internal health. Taking care of your internal health is important because it makes the products work faster. Apart from being consistent and following instructions helps to improve and that makes our work more effective. I never tell a client that they will 100% see the changes, I always speak truthfully.

Change depends on discipline, perseverance and faith. But I always tell them…you will never know if it will work for you if you don’t try it first.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

For me the lesson was and continues to be never focus on those close to you. Many times we believe that the ones who can support us the most on this path are friends, family or those close to us, but this is not always the case.

To create a business you have to focus totally on what you want to achieve and where you want to go. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Along the way you will find people who want to match you and that is not bad because there you realize that you are an example. The problem would be to stay there and not want to reach higher because you believe that it is enough or because you do not bother others.
I am a faithful believer that without God nothing can be done and that is the best lesson learned in this long road full of setbacks, disappointments, fatigue, learning, growth and victories.
