Mariana, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

Go ahead, set yourself some challenges; start with realistic challenges that you can achieve before moving to the bigger ones. Having predetermined goals helps you with direction. Consistency is a great characteristic to build and implement in your business to be successful. Over time, as you become more consistent, keep yourself motivated and accountable. This may require some change in thinking so that you stay optimistic and productive throughout the process.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My photography business started one day when I took my best friend’s maternity photos with her own camera, I focused on posing her and making the lighting as good as possible without any experience. the photos were beautiful and other people saw them on social media and contacted me to take similar photos to them, I decided at that moment that I should buy a camera and learn how to use it.

I got my certificate and opened my own company in September 2019, I started promoting my work, and I have had the pleasure of photographing more than 1000 clients in these 3 years, I have my own photography studio in downtown Raleigh. I love everything that has to do with photography, my portfolio goes from maternity, weddings, newborns, couples, proposals, families, and models to corporate photography, properties, products, and gastronomic pictures.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Keep up and maintain excellent customer service and use online reviews to your advantage

Show reality, in my case I really like to show behind the scenes, so my audience can see what a session really looks like
