We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mariana Budal. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mariana below.
Mariana , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I always knew that music is part of myself and is one of my biggest passions in life. I grew up singing, dancing and writing songs even tho I didn’t knew nothing about it. It came to me naturally. But now that I am in LA, I decided to put my first song out in a month or two. I have so many songs I’ve been working on and I’m so excited to finally release it.
I often think about why I haven’t started sooner, but looking back I feel like I wasn’t prepared mentally and emotionally enough to go for it and be true to myself and the person I became. Being an artist is very hard. You need to keep in mind that there’s lots of passionate people out there trying to make it. And the most important thing for me is authenticity. I wanna be my own person, of course I have other artists that inspires me but I wanna find my own sound and I am finally comfortable enough on my own skin now to finally be the artist I always wanted to be.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Mariana, I was borned and raised in Brazil. I came to Los Angeles a few years back on a mission to learn English and follow my dreams in the entertainment business. I always been a very artistic person, I loved to dance, sing, write music and poetry, paint, I also did theatre growing up. I started out as a model. I love being in front of cameras and I am very outgoing person. I eventually started doing music videos, being extras on some ads and even tv shows as well. and I applied and I got a bunch of gigs to gain experience. I am now working towards putting my music out. My main goal in life is to write music. I leaned through the years that networking is the key for success. You gotta put your name out there! Go to events of your niche. Study your craft and be confident about who you are and what you want. It’s been working great for me and that’s my biggest advice.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I began, I wanted my Instagram to reflect not just my music, style but also who l am as a person. I made sure to engage with my followers regularly, and being part of conversations within the music community. I shared not just polished content but behind-the-scenes moments, personal stories, and even challenges.
Consistency was key! l made sure to post regularly and stayed active on stories, which helped maintain engagement and visibility. Collaborating with other artists and creators helped me reach new audiences, and I was always open to trying new trends or content formats that felt authentic to me.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist for me is the ability to connect with people on a deeper level through my music, my art and poems!
There’s something magical about creating a song that captures emotions or experiences that others can relate to.
As a creative, I also love the process of turning ideas into something tangible.
Watching a song evolve from a melody in my head to a fully produced track is an amazing journey. I can’t wait to drop my song soon! And the fact that I get to express myself freely and share that with the world is incredibly fulfilling as well the personal growth I experience along the way that makes me being an artist so rewarding.
