Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marian Thompson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Marian, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I actually started styling hair when I was around 10 years old. I’ve always wanted to do hair I love the way finished and neat hair looked on women. Growing up I already knew my calling and cosmetology was my perfect fit! from graduating cosmetology school and achieving my goals and in school being book and busy at school by Putting in the work and putting my style out there to the public! Once I enrolled in Cosmetology school I knew that sky is the limit from there , I believed in me my craft the journey and building my foundation so I can grow, most importantly being self taught is what’s so important to me and staying true to me and to where I’m headed. I’ve always knew that I’d one day own my own salon and here I am in the heart of German village a salon owner . Moving beyond all of your fears will get you to the next level in your life,
I am Marian Thompson and I persevered

Marian, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve gotten into the industry by applying my best self to the game? If you love what you do you’ll grow as big as you set your standards. You must learn discipline and patience, perfect your craft because it’s your gift! Setting myself apart from others is that I am knowledgeable I listen and communication is key these are the most important tools for being a business owner and to keep thriving.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Trust me I’ve had my challenges in my career, learning and achieving whereas to where I want to be. I had to get out of my feelings and grab the bull by the horns and ride it out! Focusing on things that I can control, instead of dwelling on what I cannot change. When I realize that I became familiar and my life started changing.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Having to unlearn to let go of outdated habits and beliefs that I can’t! Reason why I say this is because I’ve been told that I could never be great or achieve greatness. So now as a full blown business owner I embrace all my new challenges and set high standards for myself and my business.
