We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Maria Sole Ronzoni a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Maria Sole thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
I firmly believe that fostering strong relationships with customers stands as a cornerstone in business. Constructing a bond founded on trust involves several crucial elements vital for growth and cultivating loyal customers through exceptional experiences. Foremost, customers must sense their significance and genuinely feel cared for, not solely due to their purchases but because their overall satisfaction matters. Product quality also holds immense importance. While encountering unsatisfied customers is inevitable, striving to resolve issues is crucial. At Tosca Blu, for instance, we make every effort to replace or fix even long-standing product breakages if the item is still in our inventory.
Maintaining an extensive customer database is another pivotal factor. This enables swift and personalized service, whether it’s expediting checkout or extending well-wishes on special occasions like birthdays. Customers stand as the bedrock of any business. Their happiness and contentment pave the way for their return and enthusiastic recommendations to friends. Therefore, establishing this trust is indispensable for achieving business success.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hey there, I’m Maria Sole Ronzoni, but you might know me as Maria Sole Amore from my Instagram. I grew up surrounded by the fashion world, thanks to our family business, Tosca Blu—a brand specializing in women’s leather accessories, kickstarted by my mom in ’97. Those early days shaped my deep love for fashion and photoshoots. I’d tag along with my mom and sis, even featuring in campaigns as a little kid.
Later, I headed to Los Angeles for film studies at the Los Angeles Film School. Graduating with a Film Production degree taught me crucial editing, pre/post-production skills that now define my role. As Tosca Blu’s Director of Media Relations and PR, new challenges pop up daily, but the tools I picked up in college are my lifesavers.
Collaboration is the magic word. Working as a team, backing each other—it’s the secret sauce. I’m lucky to collaborate with an incredible group of women, including my sis, Virginia Ronzoni. That bond is what I’m proudest of. Making top-notch content with various brands isn’t a walk in the park. There’s a whole team behind every picture or video, pouring their hearts into it.
As a creator, I’ve learned that hard work and time pay off. Looking back, seeing the results of relentless effort and determination—there’s no feeling quite like it.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
As Director of Media Relations and PR at Tosca Blu, I prioritize team morale by emphasizing clear communication, empowerment through trust, and regular recognition of accomplishments. Creating a collaborative environment where feedback is encouraged, work-life balance is respected, and support is constant is paramount. Leading by example, I aim to foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where each team member feels valued, heard, and motivated to contribute their best.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My journey on social media began as a canvas for my genuine self-expression. Embracing an open-minded approach, I cultivated an Instagram that mirrored my tastes and passions. Instead of aiming for the perfect aesthetic, I chose authenticity, showcasing what truly resonated with me and what I like to do. It wasn’t about adhering to the “perfect” style but rather about embracing my individuality and sharing what I loved, even if it didn’t fit conventional norms.
