We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Maria Rendon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Maria below.
Maria, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
Back in 2022, just three months after I moved from Colombia to Boulder, Colorado, I experienced a profound loss—my energy healing mentor of over 20 years passed away. Her guidance had been a constant in my life, and her passing left me at a crossroads. Shortly after, I turned 50, which made me reflect deeply on my life, my purpose, and the years I had left to live the life I truly desired. It felt like the universe was asking me, “If not now, when?”
Boulder offered a fresh start and the freedom to redefine myself. To gain clarity, I took a spiritual trip to Monument Valley, Arizona—a sacred space where I could reassess my path. In that awe-inspiring landscape, I realized my corporate career in strategic planning no longer aligned with my deeper calling. I felt drawn toward fully embracing spiritual energy healing—a passion that had always been part of my life.
Yet, doubts lingered. Letting go of my corporate identity felt like a huge risk—one that could cost me the reputation I’d built over many years. But deep down, I knew it was time. I even gave strategic planning one last shot, but doors kept closing, as if the universe was nudging me toward a new direction. I realized that the real risk wasn’t in making the leap, but in staying stuck in frustration.
A few months later, I made the shift. Although I’d been learning and practicing energy work for over two decades for my own growth, moving to Boulder gave me the opportunity to deepen my training and share my practice with others. This shift allowed me to guide clients in clearing blocks, releasing what no longer serves them, and reconnecting with their inner wisdom to create a more aligned, peaceful, and fulfilling life.
That moment transformed not just my career, but how I connect with my clients. It gave me the courage to align with my true calling, and as soon as I did, opportunities began to flow. It’s this magic and alignment that I hope to live by, and it’s what I want to help others discover too.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Maria Rendon, a spiritual energy healer, and I help people release energetic blocks and reconnect with their inner wisdom so they can live a life that feels deeply aligned, joyful, and purposeful.
With an MBA and over 10 years of experience in strategic planning, I learned to approach life with a practical and results-oriented mindset. For years, I thrived in the fast-paced corporate world, but I always felt like something was missing—like I was out of sync with a deeper part of myself. Even with my professional achievements, there was a sense of emptiness, a longing for more meaning. It wasn’t until I moved to Boulder and took a step back that I realized what that missing piece was: my passion for spiritual energy healing.
This wasn’t a new interest—it’s something I’d been learning and practicing for over 20 years for my own personal growth, quietly in the background of my life. But I never gave myself permission to fully focus on it until now. Moving to Boulder, with its openness to spiritual practices, gave me the space to explore this path in a more intentional way. Embracing energy healing has been about aligning with my spirit, letting go of the energy that doesn’t serve me, and learning to truly listen to my intuition. Now, I help my clients do the same, guiding them to reconnect with their inner wisdom and live a life that feels aligned and fulfilling.
Through my work, I guide clients in personalized energy healings, space clearings, and intuitive readings, helping them release energy that no longer serves them. By letting go of the “nonsense” that clouds their intuition, potential, and connection with others, they can see their own true power and live more fulfilling lives. I know firsthand the grind of the corporate world and the sense of emptiness it can leave behind, and my journey has given me the tools to help others who feel the same way.
I founded Sana Providence to make energy healing accessible, fun, and transformative. My mission is to create a space where clients can reconnect with their own energy and divinity, seeing themselves and others more clearly. If you’re feeling stuck or seeking a greater sense of peace, purpose, or alignment, I invite you to explore what spiritual energy healing can offer: deeper self-awareness, profound self-healing, and ultimately, joy.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
In this field, success goes beyond just having the right knowledge or training—it’s about continuously working on my own energy, clearing my own blocks, and staying grounded in the present. The more I release what holds me back, the better I can help others connect with their energy, creating a kind of synchronization between our self-healing processes. When I’m aligned with my own energy, I can hold space for my clients, making it easier for them to step into their own healing.
It’s an ongoing journey of self-awareness, surrender, and trusting the process. Letting go of overanalyzing and embracing the flow of energy allows me to be fully present with my clients. And of course, this personal work has to be mixed with practical strategies—things like business planning, community building, and marketing—so I can reach and support more people who are looking for this kind of transformation.
Ultimately, my success comes from finding that balance—working on myself, listening to my intuition, and applying those insights practically, so I can better support my clients in their healing journeys.
In my practice, I focus on offering spiritual and energetic support as a complement to other forms of care. It’s not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment but serves as an additional resource for those looking to deepen their self-awareness and inner healing.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the need to control everything. Coming from a strategic planning background, I thought that if I didn’t plan every detail, things would fall apart—like the sun wouldn’t rise if I didn’t schedule it. But as I embraced energy healing, I realized that true alignment comes from trusting the wisdom of my spirit, which knows far more than my analytical mind ever could.
I learned to trust in something greater—a kind of providence or universal intelligence that guides us when we let go. This realization inspired the name of my practice, Sana Providence. “Sana” means healing in Spanish, and “providence” speaks to the idea that as we heal and grow, we are always supported by the universe. It’s about understanding that the most powerful transformations often begin in the spiritual realm, where our intentions and energy shape the world around us. When we align with this flow, it becomes easier to influence the physical realm—manifesting change with more ease and grace.
Letting go of that constant need for control opened me up to this natural flow of life and energy. Now, instead of trying to plan every outcome, I trust that my spirit knows the way forward. I focus on working with my energy first, knowing that it will ripple out into the tangible world. This shift has not only transformed my own life but has also made me a better guide for my clients on their self-healing journeys, helping them reconnect with their inner wisdom and create change from within.
By starting with energy and intention, I’ve found that the rest naturally follows. It’s not about forcing outcomes but aligning with the flow of life so that things unfold with greater ease. Deep listening to one’s inner guidance is key—our spirit already knows the way forward; we just need to tune in and trust that guidance. This has been a transformative shift for me and my clients—learning to trust in the process and letting the universe support us in ways we might not have imagined. It’s a lesson that continues to unfold, and one that I’m grateful to share with others.
