We were lucky to catch up with Maria Laura Lucchetti recently and have shared our conversation below.

Maria Laura, appreciate you joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?

In a time where social media are the main tool we have to comunicate and in a time where people love to show their outfits online, I thought it might have been nice to give my clients the chance to be a protagonist of Lalla’s project.

This is how the Lallaspeople idea came up, basically anyone who chooses one of my creations can take a selfie with it and send it to me to be featured on Lalla’s social media.

The nice thing about it is that Lallaspeople comunity is growing and people just love sharing their own style and how they wear their jewel . For me, this is the best reward ever, being surrounded by happy unique real people who enjoy wearing what I created.

Maria Laura, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am Maria Laura Lucchetti the creative mind of the design brand Lalla’s.

Born in Tuscany, I grew up in New York, Africa and South America.
Very curious as girl and still today, I am an open minded and passion driven creative woman.

The idea of a future life in Creation was clear when I got into Prada and discovered a passion for the back stage of that luxury fashion world.
For 10 years I then travelled and worked for the best fashion groups as Chanel, Façonnable and Versace, living in London and in Nice.

Back to my Tuscany , I took some time-off from the fashion biz in order to take care of the family.

Few years and three kids later , my creative nature had the best on me and I decided it was time to run alone, so I founded my emerging design brand Lalla’s.

I think, researche and develop with my team of Italian artisans each new piece with extreme dedication and passion.
My product development know how and my life experience living around the world, have ended up in the collections together with my multifaceted personality.

The collections are all produced in Tuscany and the components are eco friendly oriented with zero use of plastic.

In 2016 Lalla’s collections were selected to be shown in Manhattan in a temporary design showroom and it was an immediate success.

In 2018 my necklace Pianeti (the knot) won the Bronze at the prestigious A’ Design Award and Competition in the jewelry category among thousands of design works coming from 180 countries of the world.

Wearable from morning to night, Lalla’s jewels are chosen according to the mood one gets up with, living you free to be yourself.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

For a creative soul like mine, the most rewarding aspect is seeing my jewels come to life moving together with my clients bodies.

I think it is the same feeling that a writer has when meeting somebody reading his book.

There are many ways nowadays to keep in touch with our clients. Through social media for instance, asking them question on your ideas or making them part of the development process of a new jewel.
