Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Maria Ferrer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Maria, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I have always been into music and the arts since I was a child. My whole childhood consisted of me collecting CDs and spending countless hours listening to the radio and watching music videos. I have always loved music. I went to a performing art school in Las Vegas called the Las Vegas Academy Of Performing Arts where I studied Voice. once I graduated, I loved out to Los Angeles and have been here ever since. I focused on building my career as a vocal coach working with singers of all ages and experience levels however during the pandemic business slowed down and I realized it was time to really focus on my own creativity. I made my first TikTok/ Reel video in February of 2021 and it went viral. From there I started making videos of the love I have for music, comedic skits as a millennial mom and grew my following to almost one million all across social media apps. I enjoy expressing myself through content creation and love bringing joy to those who enjoy watching.
Maria, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I was trying to create content based on what was trending, my content wasn’t growing. I briefly tried to do fashion hauls which there was so much of already but figured it was what everyone was doing so I should try as well. This was around 2016-2017. During the pandemic of 2020, I realized that wasn’t growing my account and it wasn’t content I was passionate about. I actually deleted my social media during that time to reflect and figure out what type of content I wanted to make, if any. I thought maybe it was best to just stop and quit. After a year, I thought about how much I love music and randomly started recorded myself in my kitchen dancing and thought “This is funny, maybe I should post this!” and it went viral.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
When I receive a message from a follower saying that my content brought them so much laughter and joy during a dark time in the life. I meet followers everywhere I go now and people come and tell me that my videos really brought them joy. One time I was at the grocery store and this man approached me saying that he watched my videos while he was in the hospital and thanked me for making him laugh during that time in his life. Another memorable moment was when I was at the park with my son and best friend. A follower came up and couldn’t believe she just ran into me at the park. She went on to tell me that I inspired her to be herself and dress how she wanted. She saw my videos and thought I looked like her and that if I can be myself so could she. She went on to say how she didn’t want to leave the house that day and was feeling down but knew that her kids deserved a day at the park and than she met me. Moments like that I will treasure forever!! Also other content creators who message me saying that my videos encouraged them to start creating content and posting. Its all about uplifting and inspiring each other!!!
