We were lucky to catch up with Maria Consuelo Quevedo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Maria Consuelo, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My name is Maria Consuelo, meaning “Chosen by God to give relief.” When I was a little girl, I did not love my name at all, which has changed through the years. My journey began with the profound lessons of the losses of my three babies, Bruno, Mateo, and Camila, which have transformed me on three pillars of my life: Body, Mind, and Soul.
My transformation includes a mental journey (mindset shift with “three years without shopping”), a spiritual awakening (connecting with the soul after Mateo’s passing), and a physical transformation (losing 30 pounds and overcoming insulin resistance after Camila’s loss).
The main purpose of the business is to guide people to regain trust in themselves, help them reconnect with their deeper selves, and find balance in the three most important aspects of life: their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. We can choose to see life in two ways: through pain or through relief, and on that point, my name has the whole sense at this time.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

How did you build your audience on social media?
I started writing a blog ten years ago. Back then, I wrote about my thoughts and ideas, and it was amazing to see how that blog went from being unknown to getting over 1,000,000 visits! Today, with how fast things go viral, those numbers might seem normal, but ten years ago, it felt like something very far away.
After that, I opened an Instagram account, and it’s been an exciting journey. I’ve had good times and challenging times, but my community has stayed close and supportive as I’ve grown over the years. This online community has given me so much. I’ve met many people who were once just a number on the internet, and now they are close friends.
I believe the most important advice is to be consistent and true to yourself. There’s no magic formula. Some people might tell you to post between 8 and 5, and yes, that might work. But what matters more is being true to who you are. There are thousands of stories out there, and some people will connect with your authentic self. You’ll start building connections and realize, step by step, how to help them by talking to them, sharing valuable content, and receiving their feedback, which is one of the most important things to keep going. As they say: “Feedback is the breakfast of champions.”
